GEOGRAPHIC REDUNDANCYMomentum Telecom’s network is geographically redundant — ensuring a business continuity solution your company can count on. Geographically separated data facilities and platform design have been engineered to protect against server failure, regional networking failures and natural disasters.

SEPARATION OF SIP & RTPSIP (Session Initiation Protocol) is used to initiate communications between two endpoints. Voice / video is contained in the RTP (Real Time Protocol) stream. Once a PSTN call is negotiated by Momentum Telecom (SIP), the media (RTP) is directly setup between endpoints.

INSIDE THE DATA CENTEROur Class 5 BroadSoft® cloud-based platform with advanced PBX functionality is designed with a high level of reliability, approaching 99.9999%. Every component in the data center has active redundancy in a high availability configuration with session border clustering for industry-leading performance and capacity.

PSTN / CARRIER REDUNDANCY In the US market, we have multiple paths to the PSTN network including multiple carriers and multiple gateway interconnection points for the highest reliability. Momentum Telecom originates and terminates “off-network” calls with Tier-1 providers. For international locations, customer will provide a local carrier.

Client ProfilePremier Research is a widely recognized global clinical research organization (CRO) aiding pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies with bringing their products through development to regulatory submission. They have completed over 700 trials for various medications and conducted approximately 100 rare disease studies. Premier Research is dedicated to assisting innovative companies to change medical history through their developments.

Business ChallengePremier Research had been using disparate phone systems for their 12 locations, 6 domestic and 6 international, as well as several remote workers. This proved to be inefficient, costly and cumbersome to manage. Premier Research desired to have a VoIP and Unified Communications solution with centralized design, pricing, billing, user experience, support and administration.

Solution: Momentum Telecom Hosted VoIP and Unified CommunicationsMomentum Telecom’s solution enabled Premier Research to sign up all of their locations with one contract, pricing plan and bill, and allowed them to roll out locations over time. Not only do these locations now have a geographically redundant centralized VoIP and Unified Communications platform, they also have free on-net extension dialing between sites and one corporate directory. Momentum Telecom’s hosted VoIP solution allowed them to add integration and functionality which was consistent across the platform, that could be enabled on a user or team basis, including home-based and mobile workers. They also have the ability to add Mobility to support a Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) strategy, an interactive voice response system (IVR), and call centers which will operate across all locations. In addition to Momentum Telecom’s hosted VoIP solution, Premier Research was able to add Momentum Telecom’s hosted Voice-Enabled Microsoft Lync for true Unified Communications and collaboration to their business without having to utilize another vendor.
