Fall 2012
Muhlenberg finishes fourth, makes CC playoffs for the first time since 2009!
1
The 2012 season has been a
memorable one for the
Muhlenberg women’s soccer
program. Although the Mules
experienced a trying start, the
team responded with a strong
run in league play. After beating
nationally ranked Johns Hopkins
in a thrilling 2‐0 victory at
Homecoming, the Mules went on
to beat five more conference
opponents, finishing the season
with a 6‐3‐1 CC record and
placing fourth in the conference
standings.
3
In the first round of the CC
tournament, the Mules fell to
Swarthmore 1‐0 in a well‐played
match. Outshooting Swarthmore
18‐8 and recording 12 corners to
their opponent’s 4, it was a
difficult way to end the season.
As always the support from the
alumni is much appreciated, and
we look forward to a productive
spring. We can’t wait to get back
on the pitch in 2013!

Several Muhlenberg players led
the push for the post‐season.
Junior CJ Graetzer found the net 3
times, while senior Natalie Wizel
and freshman Taylor Pini each
notched 2 against CC opponents.
Senior Maggie Neary, juniors
Susan Galgano and Stephanie
Tramutola, and sophomore
Krissy Fioretti have anchored the
defense throughout conference
play. In goal, freshman Francesca
Cobuzzi has recorded a 0.77 GAA
this season, ranked fourth in the
conference.
