WOULD YOU LIKE TO BECOME A MENTOR?
Mentoring is a powerful personal development and empowering tool. It is a
helpful relationship based upon mutual trust and respect. MHS leaders embrace,
promote and value its mentoring program. Mentors are approved school volun-
teers and have participated in an orientation to prepare them for the role. Stu-
dents and mentors meet on a weekly basis during the school year. Mentors use
the TALKS curriculum (Transferring A Little Knowledge Systematically) to
interact with students. This curriculum facilitates conversation, teaches values
and instills sound principles which develop students’ self-esteem, character and
citizenship. If you would like to become a mentor please contact Asst. Principal
II: Amy Lashkajani at 863-701-1104.

of pondering his mind is finally
at ease with the brand new re-
lease of Star Wars The Force
Awakens that was released on
December, 18th just in time for
the first day of Christmas break.
He waited an hour and a half in
line to just get good seats which
he stated was the best idea to do
if you wanted to get the full ef-
fect of the movie. It wasn't just a
new movie as it included old
characters one being his favorite
Chewbacca,. The movie which
gave another perspective and
received both good and bad re-
views. Regardless of the reviews
Mr. Argo claims it was so good
that he is now left waiting two
