Dear Parent/Guardian,

As an extension of the curricular program, the athletic department is planning an excursion to Mount

St. Louis Moonstone. The ski/snbwboard day is designed for every student attending Glenforest

regardless of ski and snowboard ability. First time skiers are welcome, asi are seasoned 'expert' skiers.

Regardless of ability, all participants on the trip must take the bus and participate in the instruction.

This activity is under the supervision of Ms. Hare, Ms. Loek and Mr. Lewis. The trip will require your

son/daughter to depart school property on Thursday March I't at 6:45am and return the same day by

approximately 5:00pm. This means that students MUST be at school at 6:30am and be off the hill

by 2:30pm. Students who are late for the return trip back to Glenforest at 3:00pm will be left at

the hill and will be responsible for their own transportation home. Transportation is being

provided by Belca Tours and Coach.

The cost of the ski day is $43. This cost includes the bus transportation, the lift ticket and a mandatory

lesson by a qualified instructor. All students wishing to ski, snowboard or snowblade MUST wear

a helmet. If a student does not own a helmet and wishes to participate they must rent one from the

facility for an additional $5.00 bringing the cost to $48.00. The Peel District School Board, also

strongly recommends that snowboarders wear protective wrist guards. The cost of the day with ski

rental equipment and a helmet is $57. The cost of the day with rental snowboard or snowblade

equipment and a helmet is $65.00 Sfudents renting equipment must provide their shoe size. Leashes

are mandatory for ALL snowboarders.

Please make cheques payable to Glenforest Secondary School with your child's name and

student number on the memo line.
