3. The function of the wall data import on the nozzles modulus of the program has

been fixed. The joint efficiency was not correctly imported for different system

units.

4. A control has been added to the calculation of the Young modulus. When the design

temperature is greater than the maximum tabulated a warning message is issued and

the program stops.

5. The calculation of the allowable stress of austenitic stainless steels per EN 13445

has been fixed. For steels with elongation less than 30% the calculation of the

allowable stress was wrong.

6. The tolerance of materials per EN 13445 has been added to the program.

7. The calculation of girth flanges with ring joint gasket has been added to the

program.

8. The option for the calculation of the MAWP on the tubesheet modulus has been

added to the program. This allows to avoid the MAWP calculation, that can be very

time comsuming, when trying alternative calculations before the final tubesheet

configuration.

9. The saddle standard and the saddle calculation has been revised. The saddle top

flange is now always considered and the transition plate is taken into consideration

only when required by the Zick analysis. The saddle stress analysis according to the

MOSS is based now on the saddle top flange.

10. The archive of the engineering data has been revised with the addition of the caps.

At the moment, only caps per ANSI B16.9 are loaded in the archive.

11. The bolts design temperature has been added as optional datum on girth flanges,

floating head and flanged flat covers modules.

12. The compensation limits from input have been added for the nozzles compensation

analysis according to ASME App.1-10.

13. The initialization of the system units has been revised to avoid wrong units

definition for new calculations.

14. The nozzles compensation analysis per ASME App.1-10 has been revised to be

alternative to the analysis according to UG-37 and App.1-7. Before both the analysis

were performed at the same time.

15. The calculation of the MAWP for girth flanges has been revised. The MAWP is

now calculated by setting the pressure on the other flange equal to the imposed

design / test presssure and iteratively changing the pressure on the flange under

calculation.

16. The weight of the girth flanges has been fixed.

17. The check for UG-45 in the nozzle calculation has been corrected. The reduction of

the 12.5% on the final thickness is done for nozzles from pipe only and is not

applied to nozzles from plate or from forging.

18. The calculation of the MAWP for the tubesheets has been added to the program.

Both the shell side and tube side MAWP are calculated keeping constant the other

pressure and iteratively changing the pressure on the side under calculation until the

MAWP is reached.

19. The calculation of the compensation for nozzles according to ASME has been fixed.

The value of the selfreinforce in circumferential direction was not initialized

correctly.

20. The gaskets of type Seal Welded have been added to the gasket database. The

calculation method for flanges according to ASME / VSR / EN has been updated

accordingly.

21. The gasket width in the girth flanges module has been added as optional datum from

input.

22. The lining thickness has been fixed in the calculation of the nozzle compensation

according to ASME App.1-10.

23. New stiffening rings have been added in the table of the flat rings in the rings

database.

24. For the following bolts materials the values of the limit diameters have been

modified to comply with the bolt nominal diameters used in the database so to avoid

retrieving problems:

A 193 B16 - A194 4-K14072 20214/1999

25. The calculation of exchangers tubes per AD-2000 has been modified. The safety

factors for the allowable stress calculation have been revised according to the

Rev.Oct.2006. In addition the allowable stress management has been revised to

allow the possibility of using allowable stresses from input.

according to AD-2000 has been modified. The user shall now explicitly specify the

forces if he wants to take them into account.

module. The calculation is carried out according to D.MOSS "Pressure Vessel

Design Manual" 3rd

Edition.

33. The support saddles calculation according to TEMA 9th

Edition has been added to

the saddles module.

34. The software key protection program for the programs evaluation has been changed

to comply with Windows Vista requirements.

with stiffening rings has been fixed.

36. The nozzles module has been revised to fix the missed coupling in the nozzles

database when the inside diameter is specified in alternative to the nominal

has been corrected. The name of the ring was not printed.

6. Some bugs have been fixed in the calculation of the expansion joint according to

TEMA.

7. The values of Pd, P’t, P’s have been added to the results printout of tubesheets

calculation.

8. The description of the calculation conditions has been introduced in the fixed

tubesheets. When the description is given it overcomes the standard description

provided by the program.

9. The description of the calculation conditions has been introduced in the expansion

joint program. When the description is given it overcomes the standard

description provided by the program. When the expansion joint is called from

within the tubesheet program, the descriptions specified in the tubesheet are used.

10. The overlapping of the field Sj < in the first datasheet page of fixed tubesheet has

been corrected.

11. The fields P1w and P2w in the first datasheet page of fixed tubesheet have been

modified to comply with the new description fields introduced.

12. The girth flanges calculation has been optimized for high pressure calculation.

13. The gasket description can now be specified for girth flanges and floating head

programs. The given description overcomes the description stored in the program.

14. The control to force the specification of gasket code has been introduced in the

girth flanges and floating head programs.

15. The MAWP calculation has been completely revised for girth flanges and flanged

flat covers.

16. The following types of tubesheets have been added to the program:

- Stationary / welded both sides / straight tubes

- Stationary / welded both sides / U tubes

MT-COMP Revision History

MT-COMP - Revision History

MT-COMP Revision 6.01(March 1997)

1. Saddle stability check calculation with ZICK method has been introduced.

2. Brackets selection and stability check method according to B.S. 5500 has been

introduced.

3. Calculation of cylindrical shells in function of the external diameter has been

introduced. When the external diameter is specified it is kept constant and the

internal diameter is modified.

4. Nozzles calculation has been revised to exploit the new possibility of keeping

constant the external diameter.

5. Nozzles and cylinder routines have been modified to allow datasheet generation

when the calculation is in check mode.

6. The nozzles openings check is now done on the base of the minimum diameter to

be reinforced specified in input. If this diameter is not specified the rules given by

the CODES are applied.

7. The calculation of the hydraulic test pressure according to the ASME has been

corrected.

8. The calculation of torque for bolts seating has been introduced for girth flanges

and floating heads routines.

9. Some bugs have been fixed.

MT-COMP Revision 6.00(January 1997)

This revision of the program has been totally rewritten to comply with the 1995 Edition

of the ISPESL.VSR code. Many new features have been introduced in the new version;

among the others:

1. Design or check mode allowed for all the base components calculation.

2. Different systems units allowed:

- Metric

- English

- S.I.

Conversion between the systems is done automatically by the program.

3. Maximum allowed pressures calculation provided for all the base components.

4. Allowable stresses can be specified by input, overriding the ones calculated by the

program from materials database.

5. Thickness tolerances are taken into consideration in the ticknesses calculation.

6. Automatic datasheet generation with formulas and substitutions for inspection

approval.

7. Different systems units and languages allowed for the datasheets generation.
