Mountain biking can be hazardous. Trails may include unmarked hazards. Riders attempting these tracks do so at their own risk. The trails shown are graded according to difficulty. Choose a trail that matches your fitness, ability and equipment. Ride within your limits. Let someone know where you are going, and when you plan to return. It is recommended to wear full face helmets / armour, but personal protective equipment is at the riders discretion.
This brochure is intended as a guide only.
Emergency MarkersEmergency markers are located throughout resort, identifying your position to emergency services. Call 000 and quote the number on the nearest marker. Resort Management (03 5777 6077) may also be able to assist during business hours.
Shared TrailsThe Mt Buller and Mt Stirling trails are shared by hikers, trail runners and, on Mt Stirling, horses.
Look for the SHARED TRAIL signs. Stop, dismount and give way to horses and be aware of pedestrians, especially on blind corners.
Trail Map AppA GPS and reliable App such as Trailforks is a smart idea. So is a fully charged device (and spare batteries). Some sections of the trails have poor reception so keep a paper map handy and always share your trip plan
Mountain Bike ConductHead to bike.mtbuller.com.au for the Bike Buller MTB Code of Conduct.
Bike HygieneTo avoid the spread of unwanted weeds and pathogens, and to protect the Australian Alpine environment, please ensure all footwear, bikes and equipment are cleaned before you arrive, and after you leave the resort.

NEW WATER STORAGE FOR MT BULLERDuring summer 2019–20 Mt Buller is improving water security for the village supply and fire fighting with a new 100 megalitre storage dam. This will double the water available for snowmaking. Construction starts in October 2019 and some trails in this area will be closed for walkers, bikes and cars across the summer – including the Summit Road above the Arlberg which is closed to the public.
Thank you for your understanding while we work to make Mt Buller better!
