A Note from the President

After our summer break from meetings, but not from other fun events; the Deception Pass workshop, scavenger hunt in Anacortes, and the annual picnic, thanks to; Sonny, Peter, David, and Roger respectfully, for organizing those events, we are getting back into our usual schedule. We have a special meeting on Friday 9 September to see the results of the scavenger hunt. Thanks to Jerry and his team of judges in Spokane for evaluating over two hundred images, and determining the awards in a myriad of categories. It should be an interesting and entertaining evening, be sure to mark the date on your calendar. Our first regular meeting of the fall will be the following Friday, 16 September. The image topic for the meeting will be color, so start reviewing you images to find a couple of good ones to send to Marilyn. For individuals who want to compete in the Open Print Salon, prints will be due at the 16 September meeting. You can review the rules at the NWCCC webpage; http://www.nwcameraclubs.org/competitions/year-end-open-print-salon If you have any questions you can send either Sonny or me a call or email. The entry form you need to complete is posted on page 9 in the newsletter. We will be having a special “print only” meeting on 4 November for those who would like to share some of your new prints with the club, and for those who are not into prints, but are thinking about it, this would be a good time to ask questions, and gather information about getting started in printing. Looking forward to seeing you at the scavenger hunt awards meeting on the ninth. Jack
