MSU Housing Residents have taken the Cowboy Stadium by charge
in
support of the Cowboy Football Team. Fans packed the stadium for
the
season opener to see a 34-17 rout of the University of Sioux
Falls . The
Cowboys will host their first conference opponent next Saturday,
October
8, 2011 at 7pm against the Texas State Bobcats. This game will
be the
GEAUX BLUE GAME so make sure you are Blue &ROWDY.

What is the RHA?
RHA is a student-run organization
dedicated to promoting involvementand leadership among the
campuscommunity. Serving as a voice for allresidents, RHA provides
leadershipopportunities and is a catalyst forchange, ensuring
student engagementfor all active participants.
How do I get Involved?
By taking one step outside of yourdorm room you are on your path
to
campus involvement. Be a part ofsomething grand, the Residence
HallAssociation. Meetings will be twice amonth starting in
October.
Will I have a voice in the
Halls?
The best thing about the ResidenceHall Association is that you
can voiceyour opinions of your residentialexperiences. Residents
will also beable to work with their communityassistants to host
programs for theirhalls.
Are there also Leadership
Positions?
YES! Looking for more opportunitiesto enhance your leadership
skills? Wewill have elections for officers thisfall. This may be
your best chance to
show off your leadership abilities.
We conducted a drawing of 138residents whose birthdays are in
themonths of August and Septembercombined. We collected many
itemsfrom different departments as giftsand compiled them into gift
bags forour residents to be distributed theweeks of Football home
game. Wegave complimentary $30.00 inconcession gift cards for the
games
and a bag filled with goodies. Theyoung ladies were excited to
receivesuch gifts. We look forward to thenext few weeks when we
will awardother lucky winners!!! Congratulations.
Residents take part in
Octobers National
Breast Cancer Month.Residents are encouraged to takepart in our
effort to promote BreastCancer Awareness. Breast Cancer isone of
the leading causes of deathamong women in America. TheHousing
Office will have Pink Ribbonsavailable for students to write
theirnames on. The ribbons will becollected on a large banner that
willbe located in the Housing Club House.
Either you will or you wont.
