The Australian SX championship will have indeed kept
its public in suspense to the very end! The two little
points separating the rst two in the general SX 250cc
standings reect the overall image of this 2010 season:
closely fought and amazing.
At this little game and despite awful weather condi-
tions, the Moss brothers managed to play well during
the last round on 5 December past at the Brisbane
QSAC Stadium. However, with each of the two Rocks-
tar Motul Suzuki team riders having suffered two falls
in the two rounds that had taken place, the least that
could be said is that the weekend had started badly.
Worse, on the eve of the third and last round of this
last 2010 meeting, Jake and Moss could fear that all
their efforts of the beginning of the season might be
completely wiped out.
Nevertheless, in a sudden burst of ghting spirit, the
two Australian riders did not buckle under the pres-
sure and proved they were made of the stuff of real
champions. All in all, having completed a superb 2010
season, Jake indeed nished on the podium in the top
category (450cc) while Matt won in the 250cc cate-
gory for the third consecutive year!
An almost perfect season for the Moss brothers

Launched in 1981, the World F1 Powerboat Cham-
pionship is well and truly one of the extraordinary
disciplines where gures speak for themselves. The
recipe? Take a 6 metre long streamlined carbon hull,
add a 2-stroke Mercury Marine V6 engine developing
more than 435 HP and youll obtain a 390 kg sea F1
capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km in less than
4 seconds and reaching 240 km/h!
Motivated by technical challenges, Motul is the faithful
partner of the CTIC China team that has been taking
part in this championship for many years. Having
regularly fallen victim to technical glitches this season,
as in 2009, the Chinese team nevertheless managed
to show its mettle during the fth round at Shenzhen
in October past. The second and third places secured
by the teams two pilots, Philippe Chiappe (French)
and Pierre Lundin (Swedish) allowed them to nish
respectively 8th and 7th in the general 2010 standings.
For 2011, the teams projects are not lacking. In effect,
in addition to the present two boats, the team will be
entering a third powerboat for a Chinese pilot.

25 Hours of Thunderhill / Team Grip Racing / Lexus IS300
The very new Grip Racing team, of which Motul is
a technical partner, participated last weekend in the
worlds longest race: the 25 Hours of Thunderhill
in California. Organised by the National Auto Sport
Association, this event with no less than six different
categories is traditionally the last Endurance race
of the year.
For the occasion, Mark Mc Manus, team manager,
brought together an experienced team comprising
Johnny Kanavas, Scott Webb, Kai Goddard, Beau
Borders and John Klusendorf. Their mission: drive un-
der the chequered ag with their Lexus IS 300 No.21
participating in the E1 category. The weight on the
shoulders of these ve drivers was all the heavier as
they were participating in the event in memory of their
friend, Tim Nickel, preparer of the car, who recently
died from an illness.
Despite a collision in the second relay with the Acutech
Integra and in tricky track conditions, the young Ame-
rican team more than fullled its mission by clinching
fth place in its category (34th place in the general
standings out of 69 entrants). Sincere congratulations
to all the team!
Sublime Top 5 for the Grip Racing team!
