Successive State Labor governments since 1976 have steadily introduced road safety reforms which cut the road toll to one third of what it was in the 1970s.

The Liberals plan to undermine these safety reforms by promising to increase the speed limit on one highway to 110kph and not reducing it on another, prompting calls to increase the speed elsewhere to 120 kph and 130 kph.

This is a disaster waiting to happen.

Tens of thousands of people are alive today because of road safety reforms introduced by Labor governments.

Speed kills; don’t risk the lives of your loved ones.
