Training Title  MS- Project Training  

Brief overview  The training was given to the project staffs based at regional                     level and focal person from implementing institution.  

 Objective/s 

MS-Project training Plan establishes procedures to plan,             develop, implement, and maintain Oromia Forested landscape             program planning and Reporting the performance and             activities. The program staffs and implementing institutions             need to have daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annually                 cascaded plan and periodic reporting systems. Having the plan,                 implementation and report will produce a number of data at                   each and every stage. These data need to be captured for                     future use. This training will contribute in accumulating the                 data and planning, implementing and reporting information.  

 Training process/methods 

The trainer is an M&E specialist from MEFCC. He has presented                     the theoretical aspect of the software and then he let the                     participant to practice on planning and reporting the               performance. And also they were practicing activity network               diagrams.

Results/output 

The trained candidate can use the MS-Project to track the                   progress of their respective activities in their assignment. The                 obtained output is capable candidate planning and reporting               the program performance using the software to expedite the                 program implementation 

Result Contribution  These output contributes to the institutional capacity building.  

Conclusion and   Recommendation 

The participants were inspired in getting the opportunity to                 know this software. Application of this software may help them                   master the software application. This helps them to track their                   activities and sub activities and report duly.   Thus, it is recommended that each participant to use the                   software in planning and reporting the performance to               expedite their reporting
