IV. WORK SEQUENCE / PROCEDURES:

A. Required Tools and Equipment:

- 20-250 Ton Capacity Crane / Trailer 40 Ton Capacity - Welding Machine (for welding of column base plate)- Wire Slings / Guy Wires / Aluminum Ladders - Scaffolding Tubes / Clamps / Connectors- Chain Blocks / Wrenches / Drift pin

B. Pre-Installation Activities:

Ensure that erection personnel have read and understand work instructions, Method Statements, Job Specifications, and drawings prior to commencement of the work.

Prior to installation, all mechanical parts, pre-fabricated structural support, louver operation system, tube bundles, setting plates and modular air cooler shall be checked for any shipping damage.

Conduct site inspection to confirm that barricades tapes and other safety precautionary boards / safety equipment / facilities such as scaffold have been installed / posted at strategic locations prior to commencement of the work.

Prior to installation, ensure to erect, where required, the necessary scaffolding for erection personnel access platform for adjustment and bolt tightening activities. Erected scaffold shall be in accordance with MMG Standard Operating Instruction No. PRJ-4-022.

Prior to lifting and erection of the structural support and modular air cooler, ensure that SATEC/UNITED have been notified to witness the execution of the work.

C. Procedures:

The installation of the pre-fabricated structural support and modular air cooler will be carried out in strict adherence with SATEC/UNITED furnished approved for Construction drawings, specifications, and all other relevant Contract documents.

When received at site, the modular air cooler shall be placed on temporary support besides the MMG mess hall (see JUEG-MMG-LP-17 sheet.2 rev.A) wherein the temporary support and shipping beam shall be removed.

Prior to erection of pre-fabricated structural support and modular air cooler, ensure to install properly the setting plate with full threaded bolts to the column base plate of Piperack 81 by tack welding.

MS-M-063 Rev. 1

Once the shipping beam has been removed, and the four (4) support legs and braces of modular air cooler have been installed, lifting and erection of the modular air coolers shall commence. SATEC Heavy Lift Subcontractor (MAMMOET) will do the lifting and rigging works of the modular air cooler.

As soon as the modular air cooler has been lifted / placed on its final position, proper alignment, plumbness and bolt tightening shall be carried out in accordance with SATEC/UNITED Job Specification and MS-M-031 Rev.0, Method Statement for Equipment Installation respectively. Upon completion of alignment and bolt tightening, the column base plate and setting plate shall be seal welded.

While preparing the modular air cooler for erection, assembly and erection of pre-fabricated structural support shall be carried out in accordance with good working practice & SATEC/UNITED Specifications as well as an Approved Safety Action Plan.

- Double-check the pre-fabricated structural support materials lists as per IFC Erection Drawings & Member Piece Mark Numbers of E-2311 A-J as provided by SATEC/UNITED. Any deviation against the issued drawings or defects on the members encountered during the sorting/checking shall be immediately reported to SATEC/UNITED for their information and appropriate action.

- Use a 20-50 ton crane for loading and unloading of pre-fabricated structural support to a 40-ton trailer, which shall transport the frames from temporary yard within the site or from materials lay-down area to the erection site.

- Ensure that all lifting and rigging works are executed in accordance with MMG Standard Operating Instruction No. PRJ-4-027 and SATEC/UNITED Job Specification respectively. Steel members of more than 500 kg in weight shall be lifted with the wire slings, i.e. nylon rope shall not be used.

- The ground assembly of the structural support shall be carried out at the back-filled area beside the pump foundation P-2310 A/B. A dedicated group shall be assigned for the assembly of frames only. All bolts shall only be “Finger Tight” to enable easy adjustment and alignment during installation of frames.

- Assembling of the structural support shall be in accordance with MMG’s Standard Operating Instructions Nos.: PRJ-4-006 and PRJ-4-007, Fabrication / Erection and Bolting of Structural Steel. A 20-50 ton capacity crane will be utilised for the assembly of the structural support.

- As for E-2311 A-J, the structural support shall be assembled into three (3) framing sections. One section shall consist of four (4) columns, beams and bracing to form a complete assembled framing section weighing approximately 4.0 ton (see attached drawing JUEG-MMG-LP-17 Rev.0). The assembly shall include the preliminary tightening of bolts.

MS-M-063 Rev. 1

Once the structural support is assembled, erection sequence will start from Northerly most framing column line 117, Section A and move towards South going to Section C. See attached drawing JUEG-MMG-LP-17 Rev.0. Then, install the connecting beams, girder and braces between Section A , B and C.

Prior to adjustment, alignment, plumbness and bolt tightening activities, ensure that the assembled structure is fully supported by guy wires connected to a chain block, which is attached to column foundation.

Alignment, adjustment, plumbness and bolt tightening shall be carried out in accordance with SATEC/UNITED Job Specifications and MS-C-032 Rev. 02, Method Statement for Erection of Structural Steel for Piperack 81 respectively.

The same methodology shall be applied for the erection of all of the Air Fin Coolers, E-2311 A-J / E-2221 A-D (see JUEG-MMG-LPA-17 Rev.0) until the last equipment is completely installed to complete the system.

Conduct touch up to all damaged galvanizing with organic zinc paint material as per Steel Fabricator recommendation or per approved material submittal. All surface preparation and application shall be in accordance with SATEC/UNITED Specification No. 00-N-0017 and manufacturer’s recommendation.
