Mrs. Hinman’s 3rd graders were asked,“What have you learned in third grade so far?”
Reggie: I learned about Jamestown and their reasons for settlement.
Addisyn: We have learnedabout multiplication and division.We learned how to write thewhole cursive lower casealphabet.
Kylieena: I learned how to docursive but I am not all the way through. The easiest letter I learnedin cursive was the upper and lower case A. I am good at it, too.
Noah: I learned about Jamestown’sshelter, leader, and how they made money.They grew tobacco. Captain John Smithwrote books and more people came.
Rylee: We have learned about multiplication and some division. Alsosome persuasive writing.
Alison: We’ve learned our 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8 and are working on 9 timesfacts. We learned our lower case cursive letters.
Casey: Math, Science, Read to Self, Read to Partner, and SocialStudies.
Grace: I learned division and that Native Americans used a spear andbow and arrow. I learned about Jamestown. They made money byselling tobacco and their leader was Captain John Smith.
Madison: In 3rd grade I have learnedmultiplication from 0’s to 8’s. I have alsolearned about volcanos and earthquakes.They can destroy our Earth. Anotherthing I’ve learned is cursive. I think I’mpretty good at it. So far I LOVE 3rdgrade.
Kyle: I learned Jamestown people made money by growing tobaccoand selling it. The colony did not last long because the governmentmoved to Williamsburg.
Emma: In Science we have been learning about Earth’s great changes:slow changes like erosion and weathering and fast changes like volcanosand earthquakes. One day we even made our own.
Zoe: I have learned Jamestown things like Jamestown failed becausetheir government moved to Williamsburg. In Math I learned my timesfacts. Now all I have to do is my 6’s and 4’s.
Keith: I learned about multiplication, division, Arapaho, and cursive.
Juan: I learned how to multiply and how it helps me!
Jackie: Science! A fault is a crack in the Earth’s crust, created by anearthquake. A Richter scale is something that measures how strong anearthquake is.
