My Courage is Finished

I have finished now with this house of clay.

Please kindly and carefully lay it away.

And let me rest from this life of pain,

Toiling in the sunshine; storm and rain;

Trying to help the sick and poor,

And turning no needy from my door.

I strove to do my master’s work

Never a duty did I shirk;

Many times I was misunderstood,

When I had done the best I could-

I am tired now-so let me rest,

Don’t cry, don’t you know that God knows best!

Please no sad hearts, no hung down heads,

Don’t weep for me, for I am not dead.

I have another house of clay.

So tenderly, carefully lay it away.

The Dawning of a New Day

Just before the break of day, I decided to take a journey down a narrow pathway.

Let not your hear be troubled, For I decided to step into The Dawning of a New Day.

As I started my life’s journey, I learned that now Faith is the substance of things hope for,

And the evidence of things not seen. When I heard the voice of the Lord Thy God,

I harden not my heart and, Walked into The Dawning of a New Day.

When I looked around I saw Jesus standing there, With His arms stretch wide full of love for you and I.

Just a whispering of a soft voice, Saying Mother rest now for this is

The Dawning of a New Day.
