Sea Life Aquarium Opens in GrapevineThe doors to the new SEA LIFE Grapevine Aquarium will officially open in July of 2011. The 45,000-square-foot, two-story aquarium will be located adjacent to LEGOLAND Discovery Center, which opened earlier this year.
SEA LIFE has several unique interactive opportunities for all ages – from viewing windows offering a glimpse into the ocean itself, to enlightening talks, feeding demonstrations, as well as involvement in the brand’s global environmental and conservation campaigns.
The SEA LIFE experience focuses on a voyage to the depths of the oceans, and exhibits are designed with children in mind. You are able to experience the Texas coastline, complete with regional species of fish, a stingray exhibit, the clown fish caves and the temple of seahorses. You can also enjoy a “Behind the Scenes Aquarist Experience” and learn about animal healthcare and food preparation for the animals.
SEA LIFE Grapevine will include more than 30 display tanks in 12 different habitat zones featuring more than 5,000 sea creatures including some special species that are native to Texas and the Gulf Coast. The attraction is built specifically to provide a fun, interactive and educational experience for kids.
