    Dear students,

It is expected that more than 800 students will be writing the qualifyingtest (QT). A number of students from Aurangabad, Kolhapur, Solapur,Ahmednagar, Sangali, Ichalkaranji, Thane, Mumbai, Nashik and manyother cities are registering for QT. We ensure all of you that theselection will be done strictly on the merit basis. As we are goingto select only 80 among these, the top 80 students in our merit list willbe invited to choose the batch, strictly in the order of merit. Here aresome of the common questions most of the students ask us. We have givenreasonably complete answers to these questions. Carefully read each andevery word of the information given below. This will help you to take adecision most suitable to you.

What about Std XI and XII syllabus?IIT JEE syllabus covers much more than syllabus of HSC, ICSE and CBSE.So training for IIT automatically covers all these syllabuses. Our trainingprogram is designed keeping IIT JEE examination in mind, so the emphasiswill be on complete understanding of the concepts and IIT level problemsolving. Ours is actually IITJEE++ training program. We teach all theproofs of the results required for the examination. Our students not onlydo well at IIT-JEE but continue to do exceptionally well after joining IIT.

What kind of reference material do you suggest? Should we gofor correspondence courses like FIIT-JEE and BRILLIANTS etc? There is a large amount of reference material available in the market. Mostof these sources cover up to 70% needs of the students. But none of thesereally completely cover all the needs of the students. Also these studymaterials does not address the specific weakness of a particular student. Also the prerequisites assumed in these study materials is not satisfied bymost of the students and hence they get badly stuck in many places.

Our strategy is to design assignments and exams, in which the problems areselected from various sources available. The emphasis will be on selectinga wide variety of problems so that the students are saved the trouble offinding out the quality problems. This will save great amount of time ofour students. Hence there is no need to buy any of these study materials. You may join the practice tests these institutes conduct during std XII.

However it is important that students purchase some standard time testedtext books. The exact list of these books is as follows.

The entire syllabus of IIT will be covered by 30th September 2011. Afterthat, a complete revision will be done. This will be followed by a number ofpractice tests. After the XII board examination is over, several mock testsfor the IIT exam will be conducted. The only holidays will be at the time ofDiwali for one week and for 10 days in the month of May 2011. The lectureswill be conducted at the time of XI terminal and even annual examination.

Suggest the name of the best possible college. For example, almost entire maths portion of standard XI will be completed

by 30th of September 2011. You will be wasting your time in whichevercollege you join. The college that does not too much insist on attendanceand is close to your house and has the smallest number of contact hoursis the best choice for you. Take the advice of your seniors in this matter. They will confirm that no matter which college they had joined they hardlyattended any lectures.

There are number of colleges in Pune City and all you need to dois choose that college which will not clash with the batch timingyou have selected.

How much hard work is expected from me?We first estimate the time required for non academic activities.

Activity Time RequiredSleeping 7 HoursEating 1 HourCommuting between home and college 0.5 HoursCommuting between home and MPA 0.5 HoursPhysical Fitness 1 HourHobby 1 HourSocialising 1 Hour

Total 12 HoursSo note that having accounted for all the non academic activities you haveevery day 12 Hours at your disposal for academic activities. Now if youare really serious about joining IIT we expect that you actually use eachminute of these twelve hours for the purpose of studying. This includescollege hours as well as time spent at our institute. The more time youare able to study independently, better will be your chances. That is whychoosing a college where you need to spend minimum amount of time isthe best choice. Typically in the vacation period you should be studyingfor three hours for each subject at home, and attend the lectures at the

academy for a period of three hours.

Respected Parents, we want you to make this requirement of putting in12 Hours of Study Every day for next two years absolutely clear toyour ward. If he does well in our entrance test we are sure of his intellectualability to grasp what we will teach him. But you know better about histrue ability to actually do a focused work for two years. We do not haveany magic wands. At all India level there is fierce competition for gettinginto IIT. 2.5 lakhs of student write the exam and only 5000 make it. Thatis only 2% of students actually make it. With our training we can improvehis chances from 2% to 50%. The major reason we believe why remaining

50% students dont make it is they simply do not work hard enough. We request the parents not to enroll their ward in our academy if theirson/daughter does not possess this hardworking ability. Instead of acceptinglazy students, we do not mind a student of a lower rank in our merit listwho is actually capable of putting all the hard work.

Homework for the Selected StudentsIt is an unfortunate fact that you will not be knowing the proofs ofa number of formulae you have been using. Go through entire schoolmathematics. Make a complete list of all the formulae and theorems andconstructions you have studied in your school days. For doing really wellat IIT you need to be master of all that you have already learnt. Findout for yourself whether you have only remembered the proof or you havecompletely understood it. Prove once again all those formulae you haveused. If you get the proof, congratulations. If not, ask it as a difficultywhen we meet for the first maths lecture.

Instructions for the students who have studied through a mediumother than English.Buy the text books of english medium of Maths and Science std X. Readeach and every word. Write down as many answers of as many importantquestions as possible. Start listening to the news, first in your mothertongue and then in English. As you are listening, start taking notes. Getthese corrected by someone good at English.

Instructions for the outstation students. We do not provide any hostel facility. You will have to arrange for yourlodging and boarding on your own. Number of students from last yearsbatch have successfully done this. A list of all the outstation students willbe given to you. You may form groups and stay together by renting asuitable place.
