1. Overview – What’s new in Moxier Mail Moxier Mail is a push mail client for Android™ using Microsoft® Exchange ActiveSync® protocol with

Exchange server 2003 and 2007. In Moxier Mail, enjoy Contacts, Calendar and Moxier Sync for better

productivity.

Installing Moxier Mail 2.6

How to download/ install from the Android Market

1. Go to the Android Market and press Menu. In the search bar, type in Moxier Mail.

2. Click on Moxier Mail 2.6 to download.

3. When download is complete, press Install.

4. Getting Started Guide

Setting Up Account

In order to use the Exchange ActiveSync® on your Android™ smartphone, you need to set up your account first.

You can do so by following the instruction below.

1. To use this software you need to agree to Moxier Mail's End User License Agreement.

2. From the welcome screen, press next to proceed.

3. Then, enter your e-mail address, user ID and a password.

E-mail address – Enter your corporate e-mail address.

User ID – Entering e-mail address above will automatically fill out user ID. If your user ID is different,

then enter your valid user ID.

Password – Enter your password that matches your corporate e-mail account.

Note: If your corporate server supports Autodiscover, then your account setup is completed at this stage.

4. If your server settings do not support Autodiscover, notification message will appear. By pressing OK,

you can provide your own server information (also check whether you use SSL).

Domain – This field is optional.

Server Address – Enter your exchange server address.

Use SSL

- Please check Use SSL only if your server requires security certificate.

- If your mail server uses private CA, private CA installation window will appear. Press Continue when

the notification window appears (below).

Note: If your information is incorrect, you will get an error message. When received, please try again by entering the

correct information. If you get the error message again, please contact your server administrator for more information.

1. Incorrect server address error: Confirm your server address.

2. Incorrect ID/Password/Domain error: Confirm your ID/Password/Domain information.

3. No response or SSL error: Server is not responding. Please check the server status and check whether you use SSL.

5. When the account setup is complete, Moxier Sync will launch and start to sync Moxier Mail (only Moxier

Mail is set as default in the sync options).

5. Moxier Sync Manager

Moxier Sync is a sync manager providing options for sync and settings for all Moxier Mail, Contacts, Calendar

and Tasks. Preferences saved in Moxier Sync are automatically applied to each application. Furthermore, each

application provide shortcut to Moxier Sync.

Displays account information with options in editing and removing of an account.

Changed password from the server is also applied on your Android™ smartphone.

To setup another e-mail account, you need to remove existing account by pressing Remove button on the

bottom. Please note that removing an existing account will completely delete the entire data saved within.

Profile Settings

Profile Settings provide 4 different sync modes to choose from. Please refer to mode descriptions below and

choose the best that suits your e-mail needs.

Direct push mode - New e-mails are automatically pushed.

Polling mode – Syncs e-mails on designated interval time.

Custom Mode – Users can customize Direct Push (set days, hours) and use Polling mode otherwise

(polling intervals are also customizable).

Sync Options

Enable sync by checking off sync boxes next to Email, Calendar, Contacts and Tasks in the Sync options.

Applications with sync box checked off will sync according to the sync schedule in the settings.

Note: Pressing the settings icon next to the application will take you to the appropriate settings menu.

Other Features

Sync now (manual sync option), Report logs, Legal notice, Help and About information are provided when

Menu is pressed.

Sync now: Syncs only checked applications in Sync options.

Report logs: Moves to the compose window containing the error logs.

Help: Takes you to the www.moxier.com’s FAQ website.

About: Displays information on current Moxier Mail.

6. Moxier Mail

Moxier Mail provides convenient access to all exchange protocol features.

E-mails are organized in the timely manner with sync status displayed in the progress bar on top.

Differentiates read/unread e-mails and shows the number of unread e-mails on top.

E-mails received today are time stamped. E-mails received this week are organized by the days of the

week. And older e-mails are organized by dates.

Selecting an e-mail will take you to the detailed view screen. When clicking on the title, the recipient window will

open and clicking it again will close.

Recipient window shows the To/Cc information as well as file attachment(s).

Full screen mode

E-mail displays in full screen mode by tapping on the message body in the Detail View. Once the screen mode

icon appears on the top right, you can choose from Full screen mode Partial mode.

Changing Folder

Selecting Change Folder menu from the e-mail list screen will show you the list of your folders. Select a folder

you wish to view and it will take you to the folder screen.

: indicates the folder on sync mode.

New Message There is no size limit to your message body and Moxier Mail also supports file attachments and priority options.

From the Menu, select New Message to Compose.

Search and enter recipients by using Global Address list (GAL) & Exchange Contacts/Google Contacts list.

Using Cc/Bcc

Go to Menu and select Add Cc/Bcc to open the Cc/Bcc field to enter recipient(s). Choosing contact(s) for

Cc/Bcc is the same as above.

Setting Priority

According to the contents of your e-mail, you can set the priority level to your e-mail from low, normal and

high. Each level will be marked with different icons.

Attaching Files

Go to Menu and select Add Attachments to attach your files from the SD card.

Note: Each e-mail limits attachment size to 5M. You can delete the unwanted files(s) by pressing the X button.

Reply (All)/Forward

Selecting Reply (All)/Forward from the menu on context view or from the detailed view will take you to the

compose screen with previous information included (i.e. recipient(s), title and message).

Search

Moxier Mail supports Online search to lookup e-mail addresses in the local database and server (Exchange server

2007 only).

The entered keyword will search the entire e-mails (Title/Body/Recipient) in the synchronized database in

the current folder.

Search range can also be customized by the user and the results displays 25 items per page. Pressing More

will display the next 25 items.

Due to protocol specification, Online search is only supported for Exchange server 2007.

Edit Message

With Edit Message feature, you can delete and move e-mails, too. Moxier Mail supports Multi Selection UI for

convenience of editing multiple e-mails at once. E-mails edited on Android™ smartphone are automatically

updated to the server.

Note: E-mails cannot be moved to a current folder and deleting e-mail(s) from Delete folder will permanently delete. Also

note, Draft/Outbox folders (non-syncable folders) will limit e-mails from being moved.

Settings

Settings provide options for Select folders to sync, Signature and more.

Receive Settings provides options for new e-mail notification, ringtone, date limitation and sync folders.

You can choose the date limitation from 1 day to a month.

When a folder is checked, it will be recognized as a sync folder. Sync folder will automatically sync in

designated mode.

Inbox is a default folder which syncs automatically.

Note: Outbox/Draft/Delete Folders are not syncable folders.

Send Settings

Send Settings provides Always Bcc myself, out of office and Signature options.

You can use Out of office feature to send automatic response when you are away. By selecting Use time

base, you can set the start/end time for automatic response and customize messages separately for

company and others to view.

Other Settings

From Misc. Settings, you can set Ask before deleting option and set viewer scale.

Viewer scale provides 6 different levels to choose from.

Note: Viewer scale is also provided on the Web view control on Detailed View. By flicking on an e-mail text, view control

buttons appear.

Shortcut to Moxier Sync

Each application provides direct access to Moxier Sync. From the application’s Settings, press Menu then Go

to Moxier Sync button to go directly.

7. Moxier Calendar

Moxier Calendar enables 2-way sync with the Exchange Calendar with New, Folders, Edit and Delete options.

New Event

Create a new event using the What, Where, Description, Reminder with From/To features. Created event(s)

are automatically synced with the server.

My calendars show the list of folders that are registered in the server. Selecting a folder will take you to the

existing events saved in the selected folder.

Meeting Invitation

When accepting the meeting invitation, it automatically adds the meeting as an event

8. Moxier Contacts

Moxier Contacts provide 2-way sync with the Exchange server

Note: When long-pressing a contact, Delete contact, Edit contact, Call, Send SMS, Send e-mail option appears. Choose

your selection to proceed.

Adding New/Editing Contacts

Adding a new contact to your list is simple. Just go into New Contact and fill out basic information on the person

you wish to add. Pressing More Information button below will allow you to enter detailed information on the

contact.

Note: Pressing the back key automatically saves the changes made. If, there is no information entered in the contact, it will

automatically be deleted.

9. Moxier Tasks

Access

Task list shows the details such as the bound dates, task priority and the title.

List also distinguishes tasks in progress, delayed (in red) and completed.
