• This session is for customers with Spectrum, Eagle, Integra, and Auto-Control Batch Systems who are interested in migrating to COMMANDbatch. The Presenter will outline the processes involved for converting each system and the requirements to Implement the migration.
• The numerous benefits to moving up to COMMANDbatch from your existing system.
Session Objective
Moving up to COMMANDbatch from Spectrum, Eagle, Integra, and Auto-Control Batch Systems3
• The main reason to migrate to COMMANDbatch is to move to the features and benefits that have a significant impact on the plants Productivity, Profit and Performance.
• The secondary reason to move is the End of Life that will be coming for the legacy Batch Systems starting at end of this year.

• The Spectrum V4,V6 and Eagle Systems can be converted to COMMANDbatch
• The conversion process is not complex but will require – CAI Sales Contact to work with Batch Plant Manger to review
existing plant to see if any major changes have taken place over time

Contracts
December 31, 2014
All Hardware Support contracts will end as of this date. No new hardware support contracts will be written less than one year prior to this date. Hardware replacement parts will be available for the Eagle hardware running the COMMANDbatch Software.
Command Alkon will make a commitment to provide hardware replacement parts on a non-maintenance basis for all Eagle version 8 hardware and Eagle Flex version 1 hardware that are utilizing COMMANDbatch software.
End of Life – Eagle Hardware with COMMANDbatch Software

Command Alkon will make a commitment to provide hardware replacement parts on a non-maintenance basis for all Eagle version 8 hardware and Eagle Flex version 1 hardware that are utilizing COMMANDbatch software. Certain Boards and/or Components within the I/O Box and Manual Station may become obsolete during this time. As this occurs, Command Alkon will continue to provide replacement parts however the customer may have to bear additional replacement costs for these items.
Hardware Upgrade to EZ-Cal Hardware Command Alkon offers a hardware migration path for COMMANDbatch Eagle to EZ-Cal hardware.

This hardware is identified by having 12 available displays on the manual station (may or may not be fully populated) and the readouts are orange. Hardware – Phase I, Phase II, Phase III, Phase IV, and Phase V Support Position All maintenance offerings on the Alkon Hardware Phase I, Phase II, Phase III, Phase IV, and Phase V will end on December 31, 2014. The End of Life for the Phase I, Phase II, Phase III, Phase IV, and Phase V hardware sets will be December 31, 2015. All Hardware Support (2000U, 2000-10, 2000-20, 2000-S, 2000-40, BatchPro XII, 2000-LF, AC-2000) contracts will end as of this date. No new hardware support contracts will be written less than one year prior to this date. Hardware parts may be purchased on an as available basis until "End of Life - Product" date.
All support and maintenance options for the Auto-Control AC2000 software and processor (PC) will end but Command Alkon will continue to provide replacement parts for the AC-2000EZ (EZ-Cal hardware) platform on a non-maintenance contract basis. The full support option requires a conversion to COMMANDbatch.

After this date, the product will not have any new features or enhancements added. Support will be available for your current version until the "End of Life - SW Support" date.

After this date, Command Alkon will no longer accept orders for upgrades to the product hardware or software.

Support for the Integra Batch Hardware is not offered. The Integra Batch Hardware allows the customer to purchase replacement items as needed.

June 30,2010 All Software Support contracts will terminate as of this date. Annual Telephone support contracts will be available until End of Life 24/7 Phone. Any software contract beyond June 30, 2011 will be prorated to this date.

All 24/7 (aka Enhanced) Telephone Support contracts will terminate for this product as of this date. No new telephone support contracts will be written less than one year prior to this date.

• COMMANDbatch offers the most secure and user friendly remote batch option– The driver is required to be the interlock device to let the
remote batch person know he is at the plant , under the chute and ready for the load. An emergency switch is on the box in case he was not lined up.
– The remote operator has mouse control of all the manual plant functions so that if extra water, aggregate, cement etc. is required the control is at the batch persons finger tips.
– Remote batch savings have been cited at a few thousand per year to over $50 K per year per site.
