Movie Review

1. Devils Advocate

This is a movie of a defense attorney named Kevin Lomax, played by Keanu Reeves. He is an effective lawyer in this movie in a way that he wins his case even if in truth his clients were guilty of committing the crime being charged. The crimes perpetuated by his clients become correct, that is how good he is being a lawyer. However, the result of performing his job well is the injustice that those true victims get. Persons who should be behind the bars become acquitted. In a way, he became a means of making people think that it is ok to commit a crime as long as there is a good lawyer that can defend you. Another character in the movie is John Milton the father of Kevin Lomax, played by Al Pacino. Aside from being John Milton, he is ,at the same time, satan. He induced Kevin from committing more sins. John raped his sons wife, Mary Ann. He wanted that Kevin with Kevins half-sister to conceived a child that will be known as Anti-Christ.

The moral lesson in this movie is that we should not only think of our own interest. We should consider others too, if the consequence of such happiness or fruitfulness is the suffering of other people, then we should think. There is always other ways of being happy with life without making other people in pain. Also, sometimes, we thirst for bigger reward because we thought that that will make us enjoy our life, well in fact, it is the simple things that we already have that can give us true joy. Just like in this movie, Kevin became hungry for success that he already forget his wife.

2. Legally Blonde

This is a movie about a blonde girl, named Elle Woods played by Reese

Witherspoon, who entered law school to win his ex-boyfriend back. She made an application to harvard and then later on accepted by the law school. It has been hard for her to adopt the new environment. However, she did not stop, she pursued on studying law even it is hard. Later, she knew that what she had with Warner can never be regained and so she became more determined to succeed on her own. She won an internship with her Professor Callahan. They defended Brooke, a fitness instructor and also a member of the sorority where she belongs. She had Brookes trust. In the end, it was revealed that it was the daughter of the deceased who accidentally killed his father, believing that it was Brooke.

What I like most in this movie is that if you really work on what you want to have you can have it. It showed that perseverance and determination worked. All of us may not be all that genius but because of the hardship we have surpassed and the things we sacrificed, we can get what we want. In the story, Elle never gave up, well she almost, but she never let the feeling of being hopeless win over her. She fought and later got her reward, finishing law school with flying colors.

3. Legally Blonde 2: Red, White and Blonde

This is the sequel of the movie Legally Blonde starred by Reese Witherspoon who played Elle Woods. Elle wanted her dog to be reunited with her mother and so she find a way of looking for her dogs mother by hiring detectives. She learned that her dogs mother was being used by a company for cosmetic testing. Because of that, she was forced to go to where her dogs mother is and to be the voice of those who cannot speak. She planned to outlaw animal testing which she eventually succeeded on doing. Again, due to her persistent perseverance and determination.

This is a movie for animal lovers as it showed that animals too have their own right. There is also a law that protects them. Just like what Elle did, she worked on passing the law against animal testing. The movie showed that not only humans are protected by law, even animals. The moral lesson of the movie is that we should take care of what it is in this world. God created it not to be destroyed. Every thing in this world has their own function and importance. Be kind to animals.
