DIRECTORSDIRECTORSDIRECTORS
Fellow Lot Owners/Friends,
Well on the positive side, the weather last weekend certainly could have been worse.
I hope you enjoyed the fireworks. Hats off to the team presenting them under less than ideal
circumstances.
Our first dance featuring a live band was a smash! Great band, and super mix of music ensured a
full dance floor all evening.
After a 2 year hiatus, we have the opportunity to once again attend the Carefree Stampede Break-
fast. This event will start at 9 a.m., and continue until 11 a.m. Tickets can be purchased at the
office, as well as at the breakfast itself.
My advice is to purchase them ahead of time, and avoid possible disappointment. Remember--first
come-first served.
It is my unpleasant duty to inform you that we have been the victims of theft and vandalism at the
Resort during the past week. Some boats in the Marina suffered damage, and at least two lot own-
ers report significant loss of personal property. We ask all lot owners to be diligent and watchful to
help avoid loss and damage to our friends and neighbours. Please report anything suspicious to se-
curity and/or management.
My sincere best wishes for a wonderful weekend.
Points to ponder:
A word to the wise isn't necessary--it's the stupid ones that need them.
It's a funny thing about life; if you refuse to accept anything but the best, you very often get it.
Remember: be safe, be happy, be "Carefree"

Gleniffer Lake Boating Society
WHOO HOO THE DOCKS ARE IN AND THE WATER IS COMING UP.....
I personally want to thank all of the volunteers who showed up on Sunday morning to put in the marina. We had an
outstanding turn out and it went off without a hitch! It was really nice to see some new faces at the install and the amount of
younger people was a nice change. Every year we learn a little bit more.
The water level is still low but will be consistently rising through the next few weeks. Please be cautious when backing out of
your slip as there won’t be a lot of extra room on the east side of A and on the west side of D. If you are unsure of the contour
of the lake bed don’t hesitate to ask any of us. There are a few sand bars just under the surface and we don’t want anyone to
ruin a prop. The main two are between the island and fish pond, and directly opposite Gleniffer’s marina.
Please ensure you have your 2014 sticker on your trailer and “LET THE GAMES BEGIN”..
THANKS
