    MOVIE CRITICS

HANTU KAK LIMAH BALIK RUMAH (HKLBR)

After I watched this movie, I am very satisfied and entertained with a funny story from the

beginning of the story, the climax until the end of the story.

From the starting of this movie I've managed to identify the main theme of this story. It is not

directed for anyone who had not watched the previous movie Zombie Kampung Pisang because

almost all the jokes intended in this movie is directly related to the previous one

As for "Hantu Kak Limah Balik Rumah", it can be considered as the sequel for "Zombie

Kampung Pisang". I found this movie worth watching as I laughed throughout the movie. In fact,

the comedy shown is not slapstick. It was a real one. I think the Chinese or Indian or other races

should watch this movie. Although the cost of film making (HKLBR) is minimal. But it

is very worthwhile for the producer and the audience.

A bit of a synopsis of the film. Husin has been working in Singapore for some time and decides

to return to his hometown, Banana Village. Upon returning, he feels that his neighbour Mak

Limah is strange as she does not speak nor sleep. He then tells patrons at Pak Munawer's coffee

shop that Mak Limah might be a ghost. Pak Abu decides they should investigate further but

when they go to her house, she is already a rotting corpse! However, things get more interesting

when the village is haunted by strange occurrences, despite the burial of Mak Limah.

Malaysian director Mamat Khalid looks to be on a roll this year, and about a month after Estet

were now treated to Hantu Kak Limah Balik Rumah, his sequel to Zombi Kampung Pisang.

Like its predecessor it is a horror-comedy, but we think this is probably the most consistently

funny movie hes ever done yet, filled with all sorts of absurd characters, hilarious one-liners and

a surprisingly healthy amount of biting jabs at all things Malay and Malaysian.

This is the last film I watched Malay movie. It was nice but no English subtitle .I m requesting to

films authorities that Malaysia is international language country and if people like Malay movie

you have to provide the facility what for they pay. With the subtitle enable foreign

nations like China and India watch this movie.

Overall, I am very satisfied with this movie. Although the story is not quite logical but it was

enough to have entertained the audiences with another funny story of a story before. This is one

of film directed by Mamat Khalid that us getting the best feedback of Malaysia at the moment.

    Thumbs up.
