Psychomotor Assessment

• Qualitative assessment of Yoga pose• Rating scale format• Each teacher assessed a pose & recorded data

during station rotation• Pre-test on day one of unit• Post-test on final day, same as pre-test

Trustworthiness of the data

• Reliable: Students self-reported in the affective assessment (less reliable).

• Valid: Strong validity/reliability in the skill assessment. Limited reliability/validity in the affective assessment.

• Practical: All assessments took little class time.• Objective: Both teachers assessed the skill of all

students.• Authentic: Skill assessments were done while

looking at a pose in the sequence.

Reflections and Goals

• More students should meet the physical activity goal of 150 moves.
