865-240-4289

The 51st Annual Country Market will take place on Saturday September 19, from 10am-5pm and Sunday September 20, from 11am-4pm.

We will have many crafters and antique dealers displaying and selling their wares; period demonstrators will show the skills that were used during the late 18th and early 19 centuries; there will be concession vendors; music and tours of the historic home built in 1797. There will be a “Cruise in of Classic Cars” and the Tennessee Valley Model “A” Club for antique car enthusiasts. There will be a “Brats and Beer Tent” and John Wallace’s Bar-B-Q always a Market favorite.

Fire and Fright is a new event to Ramsey House this year. We have a large fire pit in a circle of trees at the back of our property where we will have Ghost Stories told around the bonfire. There will be hots and marshmallows to roast as the stories are told. We will be encouraging the audience to share stories that they may have. This will be great fun for the whole family so come and join us on October 10 starting at 7:30-9:30pm. Bring a blanket or lawn chair for your comfort and your favorite roasting stick. Admission is $10 per person (family fee that includes two adults and up to 3 children 12 and under $30). Admission includes one hot, 1 beverage and 1 s ‘mores packet per person.

Christmas Dinner with the Ramsey’s will be held December 4-8 starting at 7:30pm with a candlelight tour of the beautifully decorated home and then a lovely holiday

dinner prepared by a top caterer to be served in the 1797 home of Francis Alexander Ramsey one of the founders and first families of Knoxville. This is a great opportunity to entertain the special people in your life, employees or clients with a limit of ten guests. Individual tickets are also welcome. Advanced reservations are a must and it is on a first come first serve basis. For more information call Historic Ramsey House at 865-546-0745 or check our website at www.ramseyhouse.com

Every year Julia Shiflett and her “wreath elves” pick the finest fresh greens and holly berries, tie beautiful bows and get the most fragrant cloves and oranges for you to make a beautiful holiday wreath and pomander for your home. Our Wreath Workshop will be held this year on Saturday December 13th starting at noon with refreshments until 1pm when the workshop will begin. You need only bring a pair of small garden shears, garden gloves and a holiday smile. Reservations must be made in advance. The cost is $35 per person.
