RulesPro Elite categories shall be run under UCI regulations. All other categories shall follow USA Cycling regulations

As a UCI/USAC sanctioned event, all participants MUST be licensed to participate in the event. Either a valid annual license (either UCI or USA Cycling) or a single event license is required. You can purchase a single event license at registration for $10. You can also purchase a USA Cycling annual license for Cat 2 or Cat 3, but no Cat 1 or Pro licenses will be sold on-site. No UCI licenses will be sold on-site as well. PER UCI/USAC REGULATIONS, ALL RACERS IN THE PRO CLASS MUST HAVE A UCI LICENSE. PRO RIDERS WITH DOMESTIC LICENSES WILL BE REGISTERED IN THE “PRO OPEN” CATEGORY.

Licensing

Race Course

๏ Mountain Creek Bike Park will provide one course for all racers with clearly marked options and/or go around lines for beginner racers where deemed necessary.

๏ Courses will be marked and taped clearly based on the appropriate technicality level for category.๏ Racers are required to perform a course inspection or walk the course prior to riding.๏ Course times will vary from just over 2 minutes to over 4 minutes depending on category/racer ability.๏ Course map will be available approximately 2 weeks prior to race (or earlier if possible).๏ Course will be marked and ready for inspection on Thursday May 24th, 2018.๏ Course preview video will be uploaded and available through our Facebook page by Wednesday, May 23rd, 2018 (or earlier

Tech/Pit Space

Timing/StaffLiveracetime.com uses a photocell triggered to give times to the hundredth of a second. A display board will be viewable at the finish with the recent finisher’s time and current rank. Most racing will have 30 – 60 second intervals with short breaks between classes.

The bike park will remain open for freeriding during the entire event

Grom Bomb DownhillThis race is designed for kids up to 14yrs old who are not ready to ride the ProGRT course.The course starts mid-mountain, off of Green Horn trailhead and runs down Indy.The race course will be open for freeriding on Thursday and Friday.The Course will be closed to the public on Saturday morning for a mandatory practice session for all Grom Bombers. (11:30am - 1:30pm)There will be a riders meeting at the start at 1:15pmPlease read Requirements to Race below:

Requirements to Race:•The Grom Bomb is designed for kids that have real off-road mountain bike experience (i.e. they have ridden at a bike park). Strong intermediate or above riding ability is highly recommended. •Racers should be comfortable with fall line turns, rocks and small jumps and drops.•All Grom Bomb racers must be riding on mechanically sound mountain bikes (Race organizer reserves right to not allow unfit bikes on the course – entry will be refunded)•An adult must accompany all racers under 13 years old to the top of the course•Parents are permitted to follow their child down the racecourse for training and during the race. (highly recommended for younger kids) (Lift tickets required)•Practice is mandatory 

Mandatory protective equipment: Full-face helmet, kneepads, elbow pads and gloves will be required. Protective equipment rentals are available at Mountain Creek Bike Shop located in the Red Tail Lodge.
