1. The Cruiserlift system dismantles into 5 components by pulling the corresponding locking hitch pins.

2. System utilizes all three receivers in the three-receiver mount installed onto the motor coach.

3. System lighting package wiring harness matches the motor coaches existing tow plug adapter.

4. All systems are fully assembled and tested prior to shipping. As the system is dismantled, it is wrapped, placed onto the shipping pallet and banded.

5. Systems are shipped with all installation instructions and owners manual.

CAUTIONS & DISCLAIMERS

A. WHEN HAVING THE RECEIVER WELDMENT INSTALLED TO THE REAR OF THE MOTOR COACH, IT IS RECOMMENDED THAT YOU UTILIZE A CERTIFIED WELDING SHOP, PREFERABLY ONE WITH KNOWLEDGE IN MOTOR COACH DESIGN OR TRAILER HITCH FABRICATION.

B. NEVER BOLT THE WELDMENT PLATE TO THE FRAME OF THE MOTOR COACH. THIS IS NOT AN

ACCEPTABLE MEANS OF ATTACHMENT AND WILL VOID ALL WARRANTIES FROM FASTMASTER PRODUCTS, INC. THE WELDMENT PLATES MUST BE WELDED INTO PLACE.

C. THE CRUISERLIFT PRODUCT IS INTENDED FOR USE ON MOTOR COACHES WITH CONTINUOUS

FRAMES THAT EXTEND FAR ENOUGH TOWARDS THE REAR SUCH THAT THE WELDMENT PLATES CAN BE WELDED WITHOUT ADDING EXTENSIONS. FOR RV’S WITH EXTENSIONS, FASTMASTER PRODUCTS WILL NOT WARRANTY THE MOTOR COACH FRAME FROM DAMAGE.

D. SOME CLASS-A MOTOR COACHES MAY NEED THE ADDITION OF AIR BAGS TO BE INSTALLED.

E. DISCONNECT THE BATTERIES WHEN WELDING THE RECEIVER INTO POSITION ON THE MOTOR

COACH.

F. THE TOW BAR EXTENSION HAS A MAXIMUM TONGUE WEIGHT OF 50-75 POUNDS ONLY. THE TOW BAR EXTENSION IS NOT INTENDED FOR TRAILER TOWING. IT HAS A FLAT TOW CAPABILITY OF 6000 POUNDS.

INSTALLATION

WITH THE FOLLOWING INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS, IT IS ASSUMED THAT THE CRUISERLIFT RECEIVER WELDMENT AND WIRING HARNESS HAVE ALREADY BEEN

INSTALLED ONTO THE REAR OF THE MOTOR COACH. IF THE RECEIVER WELDMENT HAS NOT ALREADY BEEN INSTALLED, DO SO PRIOR TO CONTINUING WITH THE FOLLOWING

INSTRUCTIONS

FOR ILLUSTRATION PURPOSES, THE FOLLOWING INSTALLATION PHOTOS WERE TAKEN FROM A STATIONARY SHOW STAND.

1. THE RECEIVER WELDMENT SHOULD LOOK LIKE THE PHOTO BELOW WHEN INSTALLED ONTO THE

MOTOR COACH.

2. INSTALL THE HITCH WELDMENT TO THE RECEIVER WELDMENT BY INSERTING THE THREE INSERTS FROM THE HITCH WELDMENT INTO THE THREE OUTSIDE RECEIVER PORTS ON THE RECEIVER WELDMENT AS SHOWN BELOW.

3. INSTALL THE SUPPLIED 5/8” x 3” INCH HITCH PINS THROUGH THE HOLES IN THE RECEIVERS TO LOCK THE TWO COMPONENTS TOGETHER.

4. INSERT THE SAFETY PIN THROUGH THE HITCH PINS.

SLIDE THE HOOP WELDMENT ASSEMBLY WITH WINCH INTO THE TOP TWO HOOP RECEIVERS ON THE HITCH WELDMENT ASSEMBLY AS SHOWN RIGHT. MAKE SURE THE INSERTS SLIDE ALL THE WAY INTO THE HOOP RECEIVERS.

5. SET THE LOWER LIFTING STRUT ASSEMBLY (INCLUDES RIGHT & LEFT LIFTING STRUTS AND OUTER

RECEIVER) IN FRONT OF THE HITCH WELDMENT AS SHOWN BELOW. (TAKE CARE NOT TO SCRATCH THE ASSEMBLY).

6. REMOVE THE SAFETY CLIP FROM THE SUPPLIED PIVOT ROD. APPLY A LIGHT COATING OF GREASE TO

THE PIVOT ROD.

7. LIFT THE LOWER LIFTING STRUT SO THAT THE PIVOT ROD HOLES ON THE STRUT AND THE SUPPORT

TAB LOWER HOLES ON THE HITCH WELDMENT ASSEMBLY ARE LINED UP AS SHOWN BELOW. SLIDE THE PIVOT ROD THROUGH THE SUPPORT TABS AND LOWER LIFTING STRUT ASSEMBLY.

8. RE-INSTALL THE SAFETY PIN TO THE PIVOT ROD. 9. REMOVE THE ¾” x 3 ½” HITCH PINS FROM THE RIGHT AND LEFT LIFTING STRUTS AND LOWER THE

STRUT ENDS TO THE TABS ON THE HITCH WELDMENT AS SHOWN BELOW.

10. INSTALL THE ¾” x 4” HITCH PINS AND SAFETY CLIPS TO RIGHT AND LEFT LIFTING STRUTS AS SHOWN

AT THIS POINT IN THE INSTALLATION PROCESS, THE ASSEMBLED COMPONENTS SHOULD LOOK LIKE THE PHOTO BELOW.

11. RAISE THE LIFTING STRUT ASSEMBLY UP INTO THE RAISED POSITION AND INSERT THE TWO 5/8” X 4”

BENT HITCH PINS THROUGH THE RIGHT AND LEFT RECEIVER TABS TO LOCK THE SYSTEM INTO PLACE. AND CLIP THE CABLE HOOKS TO THE OUTER RECEIVER BRACKET AS SHOWN BELOW.

THERE SHOULD BE SLACK IN THE CABLE AT THIS TIME. IF THE HOOKS WILL NOT REACH THE HOOK HOLDER, THE

WINCH MAY NEED TO BE RUN OUT SLIGHTLY.

12. INSTALL THE MOTORCYCLE TRAY WELDMENT INTO THE OUTER RECEIVER WELDMENT BY SLIDING THE INSERTS FROM THE MOTORCYCLE TRAY ASSEMBLY INTO THE OUTER RECEIVERS AS SHOWN BELOW.

NOTE: THE FRONT OF THE MOTORCYCLE TRAY MUST BE TO THE DRIVERS SIDE OF THE COACH.

13. INSERT THE SUPPLIED 5/8” x 3” HITCH PINS FROM THE INSIDE OUTWARD TO SECURE THE TRAY ASSEMBLY TO THE OUTER RECEIVER AS SHOWN BELOW. LAY THE HEAD OF THE HITCH PIN AGAINST THE OUTER RECEIVER. INSTALL THE SAFETY CLIP TO BOTH HITCH PINS.

NOTE: IF THE HITCH PIN HEADS ARE NOT SET AS SHOWN, THE PINS COULD HIT THE GROUND BEFORE THE MOTORCYCLE TRAY FRAME.

14. INSTALL THE KICKSTAND TRAY TO THE MOTORCYCLE TRAY ASSEMBLY AS SHOWN BELOW. AS SHOWN, INSTALL THE SUPPLIED HITCH PINS FROM THE INSIDE OUTWARD AND LAY THE HEAD OF THE PIN ONTO THE KICKSTAND TRAY. INSERT THE SAFETY CLIP TO BOTH HITCH PINS.

NOTE: IF THE HITCH PIN HEADS ARE NOT SET AS SHOWN, THE PINS COULD HIT THE GROUND BEFORE THE MOTORCYCLE TRAY FRAME.

15. INSERT THE REAR TIE DOWN SUPPORTS (LARGE END HOLE TO THE TOP) INTO THE REAR TIE DOWN RECEIVERS AS SHOWN BELOW. MAKE SURE THAT THE TIE-DOWN HOLE IS FACING UPWARD.

INSERT THE SUPPLIED ¼” x 2 ½” LOCK PINS FROM THE BOTTOM UPWARD AND SLIDE THE WIRE OVER THE END OF THE PIN TO LOCK.

16. CONNECT THE YELLOW AND BLUE WIRE CONNECTORS COMING FROM THE WINCH ACTIVATION

SWITCH INTO YELLOW AND BLUE WIRE CONNECTORS FROM THE WINCH WIRING HARNESS. 17. ACTIVATE THE WINCH SWITCH AND BRING THE SYSTEM UP SO THAT THE RIGHT AND LEFT LIFTING

STRUTS ARE UP INTO THE HOOP WELDMENT TABS. INSERT THE 5/8” x 3” HITCH PINS THROUGH THE HOLDING TABS AT THE RIGHT AND LEFT LIFTING STRUTS, AND INSERT THE SAFETY CLIPS.

18. MOTORCYCLE TRAY CLIP AS ACTIVATE THE WINCH AGAIN TO RELEASE PRESSURE FROM THE CABLE

AND LET THE LIFTING STRUTS REST ON THE INSTALLED HITCH PINS.

1. INSTALL THE SUPPLIED TURNBUCKLE TO THE TAB UNDER THE MOTORCYCLE TRAY AND TO THE TAB LOCATED ON TOP OF THE TOW BAR RECEIVER.

IF TOWING A VEHICLE, INSTALL THE EXTENDED TOW BAR TO THE RECEIVER. LOCK INTO PLACE WITH THE SUPPLIED HITCH PIN AND SAFETY CLIP, OR ANY OTHER AFTERMARKET HITCH LOCKING DEVICE.

2. CONNECT THE SUPPLIED LIGHT WIRING HARNESS TO THE MOTOR COACH END PLUG AND TEST THE

TAIL LIGHTS, TURN SIGNALS AND BRAKE LIGHTS. THE PLUG SUPPLIED WILL MATCH THE RECEIVER PLUG ON YOUR COACH.

LOADING THE MOTORCYCLE TO THE CRUISERLIFT SYSTEM: NOTE:

DUMP THE AIR FROM THE COACH AIR BAGS PRIOR TO RAISING THE MOTORCYCLE.

A. RUN THE WINCH UPWARD SLIGHTLY UNTIL THE LIFTING STRUT ASSEMBLY RELIEVES TENSION ON

THE HITCH PINS. B. REMOVE THE SAFETY CLIPS AND BENT HITCH PINS FROM THE HOOP WELDMENT TABS.

C. ACTIVATE THE WINCH TO LOWER THE CRUISERLIFT SYSTEM TO THE GROUND AS SHOWN BELOW.

MAKE SURE YOU ARE ON LEVEL GROUND.

D. RIDE OR PUSH YOUR MOTORCYCLE UP ONTO THE MOTORCYCLE TRAY. LOWER THE KICKSTAND

ONTO THE KICKSTAND TRAY. YOU MAY NOW RELEASE THE MOTORCYCLE.

E. TIE THE MOTORCYCLE TO THE CRUISERLIFT SYSTEM. THERE ARE 10 TIE-DOWN POINTS ON THE SYSTEM.

FAST MASTER PRODUCTS RECOMMENDS THAT AT LEAST 6 TIE-DOWNS BE UTILIZED TO ATTACH THE MOTORCYCLE TO THE CRUISERLIFT SYSTEM THE TIE-DOWNS SHOULD BEPULLING THE MOTORCYCLE FORWARD AND DOWNWARD, HOLDING IT IN THE TRAY. ATTACHING TIE-DOWNS:

F. FOR SAFETY, ALL TIE-DOWN HOOKS SHOULD BE INSTALLED TO THE TIE-DOWN LOCATIONS WITH THE HOOK INSERTED THROUGH THE HOLE FROM THE TOP DOWNWARD (Below Right). THIS WAY IF FOR SOME REASON THE TIE-DOWN WERE TO LOOSEN UP, OR IF THE COACH HITS A MAJOR BUMP IN THE RAAD AND THE BIKES FORKS COMPRESS, THE TIE-DOWN HOOK WOULD NOT DROP OUT OF THE HOLE. WHATEVER TIE-DOWN LOCATION YOU USE, ALWAYS INSERT THE TIE-DOWN HOOK IN A DIRECTION THAT WOULD BE THE HARDEST TO REMOVE.

G. WITH THE MOTORCYCLE TIED DOWN TO THE SYSTEM, ACTIVATE THE WINCH SWITCH AND RAISE

THE CRUISERLIFT SYSTEM TO THE ELEVATED POSITION. LIFT THE SYSTEM JUST ENOUGH TO ALLOW YOU TO RE-INSTALL THE HITCH PINS REMOVED IN STEP B.

H. REINSTALL THE BENT HITCH PINS AND HAIRPIN CLIPS.

I. REVERSE THE WINCH JUST ENOUGH TO REMOVE TENSION FROM THE WINCH CABLE.

NOTE: DO NOT STAND CLOSE TO OR UNDER THE LIFT SYSTEM UNLESS THE BENT HITCH PINS

ARE IN PLACE.

J. WITH THE MOTORCYCLE LOADED, AND TIED DOWN TO THE CRUISERLIFT SYSTEM, INSTALL THE SUPPLIED TURNBUCKLE TO THE CRUISERLIFT SYSTEM AS SHOWN BELOW. THERE IS A TAB UNDER THE MOTORCYCLE TRAY SUB-ASSEMBLY AND ALSO ON TOP OF THE HITCH WELDMENT.

K. THE TURNBUCKLE IS HELD INTO PLACE BY THE INSERTION OF TWO ½” BENT HITCH PINS. THERE ARE TWO MOUNTING TABE FOR THE TURNBUCKLE MOUNTING. ONE IS MIDWAY, UNDER THE MOTORCYCLE TRAY, AND THE OTHER IS ON TOP OF THE TOWBAR RECEIVER.

L. INSTALL THE TURNBUCKLE (LOCK NUT UPWARD) TO THE MOTORCYCLE TRAY FRAME USING THE ½”

BENT HITCH PIN. INSTALL THE SUPPLIED HAIR PIN COTTER PIN TO THE BENT HITCH PIN TO LOCK INTO POSITION.

M. INSTALL THE TURNBUCKLE TO THE TAB ON TOP OF THE TOWBAR RECEIVER USING THE SAME PROCESS

AS IN STEP “L”.

N. ADJUST THE TURNBUCKLE OUTWARD SLIGHTLY TO REMOVE PLAY IN THE TURNBUCKLE. DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN THE TURNBUCKLE. ALL YOU WANT TO DO IS TAKE THE RATTLE OUT OF IT…NO MORE!

O. TIGHTEN THE LOCK NUT SLIGHTLY IN ORDER TO KEEP THE TURNBUCKLE FROM VIBRATING LOOSE

WHILE IN TRANSIT.

A. 7-WAY RECEIVER ON THE INSERT THE SUPPLIED 7-WAY TO 6-WAY TRAILER ADAPTER INTO THE COACH’S 7- WAY RECEIVER.

WIRING THE WINCH TO THE MOTOR COACH: WARNING:

DO NOT ATTEMPT TO INSTALL WIRING WHEN THE BATTERY IS CONNECTED. MAKE SURE THAT THE WIRING HARNESS DOES NOT COME IN CONTACT WITH

OR INTERFERE WITH ANY HOT OR MOVING ENGINE, SUSPENSION, STEERING, BRAKING OR EXHAUST PARTS.

NOTE: THE EXACT ACTIVATION SWITCH MAY BE DIFFERENT THAN THE ONE SHOWN. THE INSTALL PROCESS IS THE SAME.

THE WINCH IS SHIPPED STANDARD WITH APPROX. 15 FEET OF 10 AWG YELLOW & BLUE WIRE WITH SOLDERLESS SLIP ON CONNECTORS ATTACHED TO THE ENDS. THE WIRES WILL BE ATTACHED TO THE HOOP ASSEMBLY. THESE CONNECTIONS MAY BE DISCONNECTED WHEN REMOVING THE CRUISERLIFT SYSTEM FROM THE MOTOR COACH.

IN THE ORDERING PROCESS OF THE CRUISERLIFT SYSTEM, THERE SHOULD HAVE BEEN A MEASUREMENT FROM THE EXISTING COACH RECEIVER HITCH TO THE CORNER OF THE COACH AND CONTINUING TO THE LOCATION EVEN WITH THE HOUSE BATTERIES. THE PROPER LENGTH OF POWER CABLE (RED/BLACK) WILL BE SUPPLIED.

DECIDE WHERE YOU WANT THE ACTIVATION SWITCH TO BE LOCATED ON THE MOTOR COACH. A GOOD LOCATION FOR THE ACTIVATION SWITCH IS JUST INSIDE THE REAR PASSANGER SIDE COMPARTMENT. THIS ALLOWS YOU TO WATCH THE SYSTEM AS IT IS ACTIVATED AS WELL AS LOCKING THE SWITCH UP WHEN FINISHED.

A. THE INSULATED FLAT BLADE (MALE) END OF THE YELLOW AND BLUE WIRES WILL PLUG INTO INSULATED FEMALE CONNECTORS ON THE YELLOW & BLUE WIRING HARNESS ATTACHED TO THE HOOP ASSEMBLY. THESE SHOULD FEED OUT THE BACK OF THE COACH EITHER UNDER THE COACH OR THROUGH THE VENTILATION LOUVERS AT THE REAR.

B. IF DESIRED, CUT THE YELLOW & BLUE WIRES TO LENGTH. OTHERWISE THE EXCESS WIRING MAY BE TIE-WRAPPED TOGETHER. ADD THE SUPPLIED INSULATED FEMALE SOLDERLESS CONNECTORS TO THE ENDS OF THE WIRES. THESE CONNECTORS WILL PLUG INTO THE MARKED YELLOW & BLUE FLAT BLADES INSIDE THE SWITCH HOUSING.

NOTE:

WIRING TO THE MOTOR COACH SHOULD BE DONE THROUGH THE HOUSE BATTERIES AND NOT THE COACH CHASSIS BATTERIES.

MAKE SURE THAT YOU CONNECT THE RED/BLACK POWER LEAD TO THE BATTERIES SO THAT YOU RECEIVE 12-VOLTS.

SINCE MOST COACHES HAVE A SERIES OF 6-VOLT BATTERIES, DO NOT ATTACH THE POWER LEADS TO JUST ONE 6-VOLT BATTERY. DOING SO WILL ALLOW THE WINCH TO RUN SLOWLY, BUT WILL NOT LIFT YOUR BIKE.

MAKE SURE THAT YOUR BATTERIES ARE CHARGED AND IN GOOD CONDITION.

YOU MUST HAVE 12–VOLTS FOR OPERATION.

C. CONNECT THE INSULATED FEMALE CONNECTORS ON THE RED/BLACK WIRES INTO THE FLAT BLADES INSIDE THE SWITCH HOUSING.

D. RUN ALL WIRES OUT THE BOTTOM OF THE SWITCH BOX AND REPLACE THE SCREWS IN THE BACK

PLATE AND TIGHTEN.

E. ADD AND CRIMP THE SUPPLIED INSULATED RING CONNECTORS TO THE BLACK AND RED WIRE ENDS.

F. CONNECT THE RED WIRE INSULATED RING CONNECTOR TO THE SUPPLIED CIRCUIT BREAKER.

G. CONNECT THE CIRCUIT BREAKER TO THE POSITIVE (+) BATTERY TERMINAL IN THE BATTERY

CLUSTER.

H. CONNECT THE BLACK WIRE TO THE NEGATIVE (-) BATTERY TERMINAL IN THE BATTERY CLUSTER.

I. FOR OPTIMUM PERFORMANCE, THE POWER CABLE (RED/BLACK) SHOULD BE AS SHORT AS POSSIBLE. IF YOU HAVE A LARGE EXCESS OF WIRE, SHORTEN THE WIRE INSTEAD OF WRAPPING IT INTO A BUNDLE.

J. TIE-WRAP EXCESS WIRING OUT OF THE WAY. ATTACH THE WIRING HARNESS TO HARD POINTS ON

THE VEHICLE. DO NOT LEAVE DANGLING OR LOOSE WIRES. NOTE: IF YOU CONNECT THE POWER LEAD TO ONE BATTERY IN THE 6-VOLT BATTERY SERIES, YOU WILL ONLY GET 6-VOLTS TO THE WINCH. THE W NCH WILL OPERATE, BUT IT WILL INOT HAVE ENOUGH POWER TO L FT YOUR MOTORCYCLE. I

CLEANING THE CRUISERLIFT SYSTEM HAS BEEN COATED WITH A BAKED ON SEMI-GLOSS BLACK POWER COAT FINISH. THIS COATING IS DURABLE, BUT LIKE ANY PAINTED SURFACE, IT CAN BE SCRATCHED. TO KEEP YOUR SYSTEM IN GREAT LOOKING CONDITION:

A. WASH THE SYSTEM WITH A MILD SOAP AND WATER, AND DRY. TRY TO AVOID SPRAYING WATER STRAIGHT INSIDE THE OPEN TUBING. WHEN POWDER COATING, THE PAINT CANNOT BE SPRAYED ALL OF THE WAY INSIDE OF THE TUBES. UNDER NORMAL USE, WATER MAY GET INSIDE SOME OF THE TUBES. WHEN THIS HAPPENS, YOU MAY SEE SOME RUST STAINS AS THE WATER DRAINS OUT. THIS IS NORMAL. WIPE THE STAINS OFF WITH A DAMP CLOTH AND DRY. IF YOU LEAVE THE RUST STAIN FOR AN EXTENDED PERIOD OF TIME, IT MAY DISCOLOR THE POWDER COAT FINISH.

B. TOUCH UP ANY SCRATCHES THAT MAY APPEAR. ANY GOOD SEMI-GLOSS SPRAY

PAINT SHOULD BLEND IN WITH THE EXISTING PAINT.

C. FOR SMALL NICKS AND SCRAPES, YOU CAN USE A Q-TIP TO APPLY THE PAINT TO THE AREA. INSTEAD OF BRUSHING THE AREA WITH THE Q-TIP, ROLL THE TIP OVER THE EFFECTED AREA.
