The Concept

Page 3: Motorcycle Rally London-Tbilisi-Bahrain 2010 Presentation

• The rally distance is over 9,500 kilometres and will take in the region of 20 days, much of it on uncharted or non-existent roads

• The rally is not a race but a “team ride” and the riders drive without the assistance of a back up team.

• Overnight acommodation depends on where the day’s ride ends.....it could just as easily be a comfortable bed in a European City hotel or a sleeping bag and tent in a field in Central Ukraine.

• This year however, the rally is adding a second stage after Tbilisi. The team will drive through Turkey, Syria, Lebanon, Jordan, Saudi Arabia and finish on the archipelago of Bahrain

Saphekhurebi

Saphekhurebi does incredible work in Georgia. Their mission is to help the vulnerable, the disabled, the homeless and the underprivileged in society.

Since its establishment they have touched the lives of many and improved the quality of life of these socially unprotected groups providing medical care, food, shelter and education. Further to this, the charity will buy respiratory apparatus with the donated money and will give it to the hospitals for free. Frequently, in Georgia newborn children have respiratory problems. To save their lives doctors need the respiratory apparatus. Nowadays there are only 8 apparatus in Tbilisi. This number is often insufficient comparing to the newborn patients. A lot of children die only because of the lack of respiratory apparatus available in the City.

Hugo Rutland Memorial Trust

The Hugo Rutland Memorial Fund was created in 2005 after the tragic death of Hugo in a drowning accident whilst on holiday with his family.

Claire Rutland, Hugo's widow, founded the HRMF to create a capital fund from which income could be used to provide financial support for parents of school children finding themselves in unexpected difficulties.

This year they have launched a major campaign to maintain the momentum of the HRMF and to increase its capital from £230k in 2008 to £500k by 2010 and to £2m by 2015.
