Day 1This morning we begin our journey to upper New England stopping inCornwall, Ontario for the night. Dinner is included at a beautifulrestaurant en route overlooking the picturesque St. Lawrence River. Getplenty of rest this evening in preparation for tomorrows events.

Day 2After an included breakfast this morning, we depart on a scenic drivetaking us through up state New York at the foot of the AdirondackMountains. Upon arrival in Port Kent, NY, we board a ferry, bus and all,for a ride across beautiful Lake Champlain arriving in Burlington, VT.This afternoon, we visit Cold Hollow Cider Mill. A Vermont legendsince 1974, the mill is New England’s largest producer of apple cider. Seehow cider and donuts are made, browse the bakery and grab some lunchon our own in the Applecore Luncheonette. This afternoon, we have aguided tour of Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream Factory complete withsamples. Grab a cone before we depart for check in at our hotel inBurlington. Dinner is included this evening at a locally popular restaurant.The remainder of the evening is ours to enjoy. Relax in the lounge or visitthe Vermont Gift Barn and Gallery located adjacent to the hotel.

Day 3Save some room after breakfast on our own this morning for a cup offresh brewed coffee at the Green Mountain Coffee Visitor Center. Wesample their coffee during a home roasting demonstration beforedeparting for a tour of the Rock of Ages Granite Quarry in Barre, VT.The largest quarry in existence offers an excellent view of the machineryand operations of a working quarry. included in an 1880’s barn recreated into a bed and breakfast. Ascenic drive this afternoon takes us by Squam Lake where OnGolden Pond was filmed in 1981. We arrive in Laconia, NH thisevening and check in to our overnight accommodations near theWhite Mountains on Lake Winnipesaukee. Following check in, weenjoy an included dinner at a locally popular restaurant featuringgood old country cooking. This evening, stroll the beach, grab a drinkat the beach bar or catch the entertainment in the lounge.

Day 4Touring through the beautiful state of New Hampshire is highlightedin the morning by a breathtaking cruise of Lake Winnipesaukee,New Hampshire’s largest lake, across to Wolfeboro, New Hampshire.Upon arrival, we enjoy some time to get lunch on our own andbrowse the quaint gift shops before departing for Bar Harbor, ME. Adelicious dinner is included this evening at the Jordan Pond HouseRestaurant, the only restaurant located within Acadia National Park.Enjoy unparalleled views and world famous popovers as we dine onthe edge of Jordan Pond. This evening, we check into our hotel inBar Harbor, home for the next two nights.

Day 5After an included continental breakfast this morning, we explore thebeautiful town of Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. Peoplehave been drawn to the rugged coast of Maine throughout history andtoday we see why as we drive past Bass Harbor Head Light andCadillac Mountain, the tallest mountain along the eastern coast ofthe United States. We travel down the 27 mile, historic Park LoopRoad offering outstanding views of the Acadia National Park’socean shoreline, coastal forests and mountain silhouettes makingstops along the way for photo opportunities and exploration.Following some time to freshen up at our hotel this afternoon, we’lltake a leisurely ride up the coast of Maine for a delicious DowneastLobster Bake surrounded by amazing ocean views.

Day 6Following our continental breakfast, we depart early this morningcrossing the border into New Brunswick, Canada where we catchthe ferry over to Digby, Nova Scotia. Grab some lunch on our ownon board the ship then sit back and relax as we gaze out atmagnificent vistas during the voyage. After we debark the ship inNova Scotia, we’ll make our way for the capitol city of Halifax.Dinner is included at a casual fine dining restaurant en route to ourhotel located on Mount Desert Island. The remainder of the eveningis ours to enjoy and rest for tomorrows adventure.

Day 7Enjoy another included breakfast this morning before departing on asightseeing tour with a local step on guide. Founded in 1749, Halifaxis steeped in maritime history. On our tour, we see Grand ParadeSquare, the Citadel, the Devonian Granite Rock Formations andmore. We’ll stop for lunch on our own in Peggy’s Cove, one of themost popular stops in Atlantic Canada. Set on the rocky shores, thelighthouse and village at Peggy’s Cove are a photographer’s paradise.Returning to the hotel this afternoon, we have some time to relax andunwind before an included dinner on Halifax’s beautiful waterfrontfeaturing unobstructed views of the water from every angle.

Day 8Following another included breakfast this morning, we depart forYarmouth, Nova Scotia. Upon arrival, we have lunch on our ownoverlooking Yarmouth’s waterfront before departing on a tour of thearea with a local step on guide. We tour the historic town ofYarmouth with its beautiful homes of the sea captains from 125-150years ago when Yarmouth was known world wide for its sailing fleet.

We drive leisurely through the country to visit fishing villages andsee magnificent ocean side scenery before arriving at CapeForchu Lighthouse. Located at the tip of scenic Cape Forchu, thelight station along with its predecessor has guided vessels safelyinto Yarmouth Harbor since 1840. After our tour, we check intoour hotel in downtown Yarmouth before departing for our includeddinner this evening. Tonight we dine on the shores of Lobster Bayin the small fishing village of Lower Argyle. The sunsets seen overthe island from here are absolutely breathtaking.

Day 9Today, after breakfast on our own, we begin our return journeywith an all day cruise from Yarmouth, Nova Scotia to Portland,Maine. The Nova Star is a luxury ship containing three restaurants,four bars, a casino, theatre, spa, shopping and more. Enjoy themany amenities or relax in an interior cabin included in ourvoyage. We have lunch and dinner on our own aboard the ship.Upon arrival in Portland, we check into our hotel, home for therest of the night.

Day 10Following another included breakfast this morning, more back roaddriving will take us through New Hampshire, Massachusetts andinto the Finger Lakes region of New York. Upon arrival at ourhotel, enjoy a reception of snacks, draft beer and wine produced inthe local wineries the region is known for. Dinner is included thisevening at a lovely restaurant on the edge of Owasco Lake, one ofthe most beautiful bodies of water in the Finger Lakes region.

Day 11After another included continental breakfast this morning, wetravel into Canada once more to visit the breathtaking NiagaraFalls this afternoon. View the amazing power of the falls andhave some lunch on our own before departing for home.Memories will be the most treasured gift we’ll bring back fromour Upper New England adventure!
