The Circuit of The Americas is the first purpose-built Grand Prix facility in the U.S. and is located near Austin, the capital of Texas.

One of its more distinctive features is the near 41mt elevation change with an impressive incline at the end of the home-straight, followed by a sharp left. The circuit is one of the most varied of the MotoGP™ championship, with a mix of fast straights and tight hairpins, with most sections mirroring different parts of famous tracks from all around the world.

The Termas de Río Hondo Circuit is located 6km from the city which gives the venue its name, in the Province of Santiago del Estero. It was built in a 150-hectare area and officially inaugurated on May 11, 2008, during the visit of Argentina’s Touring Car Racing championship.

In 2012, the reconditioning, enlargement and modernization of the circuit began, with the purpose of turning it into Latin America’s most modern, safe and vibrant circuit.

Built in 1965 around the existing 24-Hour track,the Le Mans Bugatti Grand Prix, has hosted a Grand Prix since the late sixties. Le Mans is a tight track dominated by first gear corners that place the emphasis on late braking and hard acceleration, whilst rear end traction is also a key area. With the capacity to comfortably accommodate up to 100,000 spectators, this circuit also hosts the 24 hour truck race, the FIA GP2 Championship, French Touring Car and GT races.

The Gran Premio de España, which takes place at the Circuito de Jerez, is one of the most popular MotoGP™ venues and the focal point of a city fanatical about this sport.

Set in a slight valley in the south of Spain, Jerez is blessed with consistently good weather and the beautiful scenery of the Andalusian landscape. The circuit is surrounded by hills so the grandstands provide the perfect viewing facilities for up to 250,000 spectators. Traditionally, Jerez marks the start of the European leg of the championship.

09 GoPro Motorrad Grand Prix DeutschlandJuly 15 - SACHSENRING

The Sachsenring Circuit is another enclave with a great sporting tradition: car and bike races have been held on closed public roads in the area around the town of Chemnitz, Germany since the 1920s.

The new circuit was built five miles west Chemnitz in 1996 and although mainly used at the beginning as a driver training centre and road transport safety station, it hosted the first MotoGP™ Grand Prix in 1998. Numerous tight corners make it one of the slower tracks on the calendar but there is never shortage of close racing action.

At the Red Bull Ring the scent of decades of exci-ting motorsport history lingers in the air. From 1963 until 2003, the spectacular Formula One races first took place at Zeltweg airfield and then on what is now the Red Bull Ring. Situated close to the city of Rimini on the Adriatic Riviera of Italy, the updated and recently renamed Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli has heldMotoGP™ events since 2007.

Built originally in 1972 the track became an ambitious 13-year-project to reclaim a position amongst the best venues for motorcycle races in Europe. Substantial modifications to the 4,200m circuit since 1993 include a switch from an anti-clockwise to a clockwise layout in accordance with MotoGP™ safety regulations.

The Chang International Circuit (also known as Buriram United International Circuit) is a motorsport race track in Buriram, Thailand.

The new state-of-the-art venue was opened in 2014, earning FIM Grade A and FIA Grade 1 classifica-tions, and 2018 will mark the first year MotoGP™ makes its way to the International Circuit, to hosta motorcycle Grand Prix.

An ultra-modern facility, MotorLand Aragón had its roots firmly established thanks to a solid history of street racing in Alcañiz. The circuit is located a few km from the historical town of Alcañiz in the Aragonese province of Teruel. It is 5.077km long and has 17 turns, was roundly praised by riders after its first Grand Prix in 2010, and it was rewarded with the IRTA Best Grand Prix of the Year award.

Phillip Island, the self-styled home of Australian motorsport, is steeped in motor racing tradition, with the first car races having been held there on public roads in the 1920s. The first motorcycle races took place in 1931 and a permanent track was built in 1956. The track fell into disrepair for a time, however returned to the World Championship in 1997.

The Phillip Island circuit is blessed with breathtaking scenery and beautiful ocean views and, as one of the fastest, most fluid, tracks on the calendar, it continues to provide some of the most spectacular racing in the MotoGP™ season.

The Circuito de la Comunitat Valenciana, located close to the famous city of Valencia, was completed in 1999 and held rounds of the MotoGP™ and Spanish Motorcycle Championships in the same year.

With a design of American influence, the Cheste track has several layouts, running anti-clockwise with varying lengths. The circuit layout which allows all parts of the circuit to be seen from any stand helps to create a unique atmosphere in the last race of the season, enjoyed by Spanish and international riders.

Specifically built for speed and exciting racing, the International Circuit Sepang is located a few km from the capital of Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur, one of world’s best.

It hosted its first Grand Prix in April 1999 and since then it has been setting the standard for race circuits worldwide.

With four slow corners following two long straights and ten medium to high-speed corners, the wide track is particularly favourable to overtaking manoeuvres and plenty of open throttle, as well as one of the longest in the MotoGP™.
