Get ready all the lady Schumachers to burn the tracks. Let thewheels roll, engines rattle, smokes rise and jet set go.to conquer
the roads ahead.
Task
A mechanically controlled robot capable of traveling the given
track within the shortest time. The track will incorporate of someobstacles which would test the maneuverability skills of the bot.
Bot Specifications
1. The bot should be manually controlled.2. No Lego kits or complete car bases are allowed.3. The dimension of the bot should not exceed 25cm X 25cm X
25cm.
Arena Specifications1. The arena is a wide closed track with different obstacles marked
on the figure.
2. The width of the track will be 40 cm throughout the length.
3. Boundary walls are provided everywhere other than the hanging
bridge, swamp and wedge.
4. The bridge is of hanging type made from bamboo sticks.
5. The swamp will be 6cm deep.
6. The humps will be of 3cm height.
7. The wedge jump height will be of 5cm.
8. The height of the bridge will be 15cm and will have water
underneath it.
9. The specifications are subject to minor changes.

General Rules
1. The bot has to start from the start line, move around the track
in a clockwise direction and reach line again.
2. Checkpoints will be marked on the map. In case of technical
failures, the team may start again from the checkpoint last
cleared without making any changes to the bot. Any team
which could not clear a checkpoint within 60sec will
automatically be passed on to the next checkpoint with a
penalty of 15sec. Teams may also take a full restart with a 30second penalty.
3. If the bot leaves the confines of the track, a penalty of 15
seconds will be imposed on the team.
4. A maximum of two restarts is allowed. Each time a penalty
factor of 30 seconds will come into consideration. After 2
restarts, the team will be disqualified.

5. The wire should remain slack all the time during the event.
Repeated objection by the inspector of the game will lead to a
penalty of a factor corresponding to 15 seconds.
6. Test run for the robots is only allowed before the
commencement of the events and between the event rounds.
7. The participant team is required to bring their own equipments.
We will provide power point with 220 V 50 Hz supply, extensioncord and multipoint plug.
8. Only one bot per team is allowed on the arena at any given
instant of time.
9. Team Samavesh is not responsible for any power cut during the
commencement of the round, and the participant needs to start
off fresh. No penalties will be awarded for it.
10. Each team can consist of a maximum of 3 members.
11. The team members can be from different institutes or colleges.
12. The decision of Team Samavesh will be final and binding.
Scoring Rules
1. The maximum time of a game is 5 min.
2. Scoring will be done according to the following system :
(a) Time Taken(t) = Time taken in seconds
(b) Penalty Time(p) = [(no of restart penalties)*(30
sec)] + [(no of other penalties)*(15 sec)]
(c) Total Time = t+p
3. The team having the lowest time will be declared winner.
4. After preliminary round, eligible teams will be qualified for thenext round, and so on.
