Motivation comes from within the performer.
Self motivated
People participate because it’s fun, to
keep fit, to socialise, for pride etc

EXTRINSIC
Motivation comes from possible reward.
Externally motivated.
Can be money, trophies, recognition,
praise etc.
How can motivation affect performance?
1) How would motivation affect you as an official?
2) How would motivation affect you as a sports leader?
3) How would motivation affect you as a participant?

Intrinsic…..Sense of achievement.They enjoy it.To keep fit.To allow other people to participate.Pride.To feel in charge.
