Introduction
In the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit
The Apostle’s Creed I believe in God, the Father almighty, Creator of heaven
and earth. I believe in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died and was buried. He descended to the dead. On the third day he rose again. He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Holy Catholic Church, the Communion of Saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen
El Credo de los Apóstoles Creo en Dios Padre Todopoderoso, Creador del
cielo y de la tierra. God our Father, we thank You for the gift of life and the gift of our mothers.
Bless our mothers and make their hearts glad. Fill our homes with laughter and love. Grant that our mothers might always rejoice in their sons and daughters. And may they hold their children’s children in their arms.
God of mercy, Your love is stronger than death and we know that a mother’s love never ends. Grant our mothers peace at their hour of death and welcome them into Your everlasting light. Let Your face shine upon them until we meet again in the joy of Your Kingdom.
We ask all this in the name of Jesus, Your Son, who was born from a mother’s womb. We trust in the love of the Blessed Virgen Mary, who is His mother and our mother, I whom we are all one family, beloved children of God. Amen

Dios, Padre nuestro, te damos gracias por el don de la vida y por el don de nuestras madres.
Bendice a nuestras madres y colma de gozo sus corazones. Llena nuestros hogares con dicha y amor. Permite que nuestras madres siempre se regocijen en sus hijos e hijas. Y que puedan cargar a los hijos de sus hijos en sus brazos.
Dios de misericordia, Tu amor es más fuerte que la muerte, y sabemos que el amor de una madre nunca se acaba. Concede paz a nuestras madres en la hora de su muerte y acógelas en Tu luz eterna. Que Tu rostro brille sobre ellas hasta que nos volvamos a encontrar en el gozo de Tu Reino.
Todo esto te pedimos en nombre de Jesús, Tu Hijo, quien nació del vientre de una madre. Confiamos en el amor de la Santísima Virgen María, madre Suya y madre nuestra, y por quien todos somos una única familia, hijos amados de Dios. Amén
Prayer for the Month of May – Pope Francis
O Mary, You shine continuously on our journey as a sign of salvation and hope. We entrust ourselves to you, Health of the Sick, who, at the foot of the cross, were united with Jesus’ suffering, and persevered in your faith.
“Protectress of the Roman people”, you know our needs, and we know that you will provide, so that, as at Cana in Galilee, joy and celebration may return after this time of trial.
Help us, Mother of Divine Love, to conform ourselves to the will of the Father and to do what Jesus tells us. For he took upon himself our suffering, and burdened himself with our sorrows to bring us, through the cross, to the joy of the Resurrection. Amen
We fly to your protection, O Holy Mother of God. Do not despise our petitions in our necessities, but deliver us always from every danger, O Glorious and Blessed Virgin.

Virgen de Guadalupe, Reina de los ángeles y Madre de las Américas, acudimos a ti hoy como tus amados hijos. Te pedimos intercedas por nosotros ante tu Hijo, así como lo hiciste en las Bodas de Caná. Ora por nosotros, amorosa Madre, y obtén para nuestra nación y para el mundo, y para todas nuestras familias y nuestros seres queridos, la protección de tus santos ángeles, que seamos librados de lo peor de esta enfermedad. Para aquellos que ya están afligidos, te pedimos que obtengas la gracia de la sanación. Escucha el lamento de quienes están vulnerables y temerosos, limpia sus lágrimas y ayúdales a confiar. En este tiempo de prueba, enséñanos en la Iglesia a amarnos unos a otros y a ser pacientes y amables. Ayúdanos a traer la paz de Jesús a nuestra tierra y a nuestros corazones.

Holy Virgin of Guadalupe, Queen of the Angels and Mother of the Americas. We fly to you today as your beloved children. We ask you to intercede for us with your Son, as you did at the wedding of Cana. Pray for us, loving Mother, and gain for our nation and world, and for all our families and loved ones, the protection of your holy angels, that we may be spared the worst of this illness. For those already afflicted, we ask you to obtain the grace of healing and deliverance. Hear the cries of those who are vulnerable and fearful, wipe away their tears and help them to trust. In this time of trial and testing, teach all of us in the Church to love one another and to be patient and kind. Help us to bring the peace of Jesus to our land and to our hearts. We come to you with confidence, knowing that you truly are our compassionate mother, health of the sick and cause of our joy. Shelter us under the mantle of your protection, keep us in the embrace of your arms, help us always to know the love of your Son, Jesus. Amen
