HOW TO ACCEPT JESUS CHRIST INTO YOUR HEART Perhaps while reading the announcements you realized you have never made a Christian commitment. Don’t de-lay that decision! We encourage you to embrace God’s love today and receive the salvation that only Jesus Christ gives. Here are five simple steps you can take to find assurance of salvation. 1. Recognize your need. The Bible tell us that “all

have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” (Rom. 3:23) All of us are sinners, and we must admit our need for a Savior.

2. Repent of your sins. Our sins create a wall that separates us from God. By confessing our sins and turning from them, you will find forgiveness. The Bible promises: “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness” (1 John 1:9).

3. Believe in Jesus. God sent His only Son to die so that He could pay for all our sins. Put your faith in Him and believe in His power to save you. The Bible says, “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life” (John 3:16).

4. Receive His salvation. God has given us a great gift in His Son, but we must receive His gift. Thank Him for loving and forgiving you, and ask Him to live in your heart. His promise to us is clear: “But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to be-come children of God” (John 1:12).

5. Confess your faith. The Bible assures us: “If you confess with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved” (Rom. 10:9). You have been born again and are now part of God’s family. Tell some one else what Jesus has done in your life!

Points: 1) Adjust where you put your emphasis. 2) Increase your confidence. 3) Change where you do your assignment.

Title: “How Am I Going To Do This?” Text: Romans 15:1-13 Main Idea: As we think about our assignment we sometimes wonder how am I going to do this? Our assignment from God is carried out by the Holy Spirit. It is through the power of the Holy Spirit you can:

Sermon Highlights May 15, 2016

“THE GIFT OF FAITH”

NEXT WEEK’S LESSON: May 29, 2016

Theme For This Quarter:

The material for this quarter revolves around Jesus’s life and ministry as portrayed in the gospels of Mark and Luke. Mark and Luke show us how faith plays a vital role

in following Jesus and living a life that pleases Him. UNIT 3 -- THE FULLNESS OF FAITH The five lessons focus on the qualities of a fully developed faith as well as the effects of that faith on the one who believes.

Everybody experiences a loss of direction in their lives and an inability to make necessary changes and new plans. How can they remedy this loss of direction? After Zacchaeus gladly welcomed Jesus with great faith and repentance, Jesus declared that His own mission was to seek and save the lost.

May 15 — August 27, 2016 Pentecost, the fiftieth day after Easter, comes from the Greek word for fiftieth, pentekoste. Greek-speaking Jews called the Jewish Feast of Weeks the Day of Pentecost. Acts 2 tells how the anxious and fearful disciples, who had gathered on the Day of Pentecost, were filled with the Holy Spirit and thereafter preached boldly the gospel of Jesus Christ. This is the day on which the church received the Holy Spirit.
