My mountain bike career started unlike most. A childhood
spent among the forests and fields and gorges of the Ardeche
region of France gave me a deep love and appreciation of the
outdoors, of nature and of the feeling of freedom. The bikes
that helped me to get about soon became BMX bikes, and a
simple ramp setup in the village led to a passion for airtime
and progression.
It all changed when some friends leant me a mountain
bike. Within no time I was back in the forest. Ripping turned
to racing, but I never thought about taking it anywhere, it
was all just so much fun. But then I found myself in a
position I would have never dreamed of – racing a downhill
World Cup. Two years later I was World Champion, a thought
that still leaves my head spinning.
Now, I like to race it all: downhill, enduro, pumptrack,
slalom… you name it, if it has two wheels and can be raced
off road you can count me in.

MEDIA
Bike riding isn’t about being competitive every day. I
love to explore, to get out in the mountains and forests and
valleys, to see new places and ride with new people. I want
to inspire other people to ride bikes. To get the same
feeling of freedom and happiness I experience every time I
hit the hills.
That’s why I put so much effort into my media output,
working with magazines, newspapers and online publications
to tell people why and how to get into bikes and explore more
– whether that’s their backyard or the other side of the
world. Through features and videos I can directly communicate
my vision of mountain biking, the sport that takes place
outside the race tapes.
I understand my job as a sponsored rider is not only
to achieve results, but to publicise my sponsors. I am a
representative for the brands that support me, and I aim to
do everything in my ability to ensure maximum coverage.

My calendar includes a range of events, from World
Championship downhill racing live-broadcast to millions of
fans, to racing Finale Ligure’s esteemed trails in front of
enormous crowds, to mingling with the thousands of visitors
to the VéloVert Festival.
In 2019 I will race select downhill World Cup, Crankworx
World Tour (downhill, pumptrack, slalom) and Enduro World
Series events. Along the way, I’ll also learn more about the
places I visit and those nearby; these stories will feature
in magazine and online articles and video projects.
I thoroughly believe the events I will attend, and the
media plan I have in place, add up to the best possible
package for supporters.
