Free holiday Tree-CyCliNg PiCkuPTrees are picked up curbside during the first two weeks of January, on your regular pickup day. Only clean trees will be picked up: no “snow” flock-ing, stands or decorations. Trees must be cut to less than 5 feet tall.

� Wheel carts to street curbside by 7:00 a.m. on your collection day. Residential collection will be provided Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

� Do not overload carts; lids must close. Overage fees may apply to overflowing carts.

� Place dry-cell household batteries in a sealed heavy duty plastic bag on top of your gray recycling cart.

� Place flattened cardboard (up to 4’ x 4’), used motor oil (up to 3 gallons), and oil filters (up to three) between carts at the curb. See the reverse side of this card for more information regarding oil and filter disposal.

� Prevent theft and blight, Emeryville Blight Ordinance mandates carts be put away within 24 hours after pickup or be subject to city fines.

� For occasional extras, 30-gallon Paper Garden Bags for yard trimmings and 32-gallon Bag-its for garbage may be purchased from Waste Management. Call (510) 613-8710 for more information.

� Holidays are Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s Day. When a holiday falls on a weekday, pickup will be one day later for the rest of that week.
