Jody Parker also volunteered a very appropriate invocation for the evening. The Royal Toast to Queen Debbie was offered by Roger Gregory!  An outstanding dinner was provided by our St. Mary s College hosts. ENTERTAINMENT PROGRAM  An outstanding program was presented by the Amazing and Marvelous Germar the Magician. Through various acts of prestidigitation, Germar made Pres. Debbie s wedding ring disappear; showed Louise Schopke how to make toilet paper vanish; lost Roger s gold watch; showed Jan and Jody how to count dollar bills; and amazed other selected pigeons from the audience. A great show with lots of fun! Thanks to Roger Gregory for arranging the program! PRESIDENT DEBBIES SWAN SONG President Debbie presented 100% attendance pins to dozen members whose regular attendance spread from perfect years to 57 years. Congratulations to all those w make this regular commitment to Rotary. She then presented special gifts to members of the Board Directors and others who perform regular duties for the Cl  Although she confessed that 2 years may be a little long be Club President, she expressed her great pleasure in many activities of our Club, including Toys for T Christmas Stockings for Juvenile Hall; Polio Plus donatio special scholarships for deserving students; Camp Roy students; support for Odyssey of the Mind teams; donati for the Moraga Education Fund; Chamber of Comme mixers; Recycling projects; Rotaract Club of St. Ma College; the memorial bench for Mary Elena Dochterm OMPA and Nite at Races fund raisers; Polio Plus donatio the Community Faire; Shelter Boxes; the annual Field D for youngsters; the Microcredit project; and so much mo In addition, the Club had a fun year, with a fanta Christmas Party; great weekly speakers; and enjoyable T Socials! Debbie sends the following message to all: It has been my pleasure and honor to steer the mig Moraga Rotary Cub for another year. I am glad to t over the reign to our very capable Raja, Roger! I was impressed with your thoughtfulness at last nigh demotion. All of those banners and the vid presentation were over the top and took a lot of time put together. The magic show was great. I have alw been amazed with magic, but never could figure h they do the tricks. I am glad the magician knew what was doing, as I still have my diamond ring which end up in a gumball machine! I shall treasure the beautiful clock, and of course, crown ring. As you might know I am not going away j yet. There is one more act to compete, THE OM SWIM MEET. We are having an organizational meet at 5:00 on Tuesday, July 7 th  at Cliff s home. Ple come and share the load. This is our second larg fundraiser, so we need everyones help. ROGER GREGORY BECOMES CLUB LEADER“Rajah” Roger Gregory was presented the gavel briefly asMoraga Rotary s president for 2015-16. He announced themembership of the new Board of Directors and assured theClub that we will have a good year and follow the leadershipof past presidents. He returned the gavel to PresidentDebbie to conclude and adjourn her final meeting!

ROTARIAN OF THE YEAR NAMED

For the 15th

  year the Cliff Dochterman Moraga Rotarian ofthe Year award for 2014-15 was presented to RogerGregory for his dedicated and selfless service to Rotary. Apersonal plaque was presented to Roger and his name wasadded to the Club s perpetual trophy. The selection is madeby a confidential vote of all club members. CongratulationsRoger Gregory, Moraga Rotarian of the Year !

OMPA Planning Time Has ArrivedDebbie Roessler has called a meeting to start planning thearrangements for the annual Orinda-Moraga Pool

 Association swim meet to be held on August 7 to 9. We willmeet at Dochterman s home next Tuesday evening, July 7

th 

at 5:00 p.m. This event is one our Club s huge fundraisers,so all hands should come and join in on the planningsession!

TGIF SOCIAL LAST FRIDAYWe all thank Lou & Debbie Roessler for hosting the JuneTGIF Club Social. Every one enjoyed the good food,

beverages and stimulating conversation! Our next TGIFSocial will be the last Friday of July, the 31

st. The very first

club member who volunteers to host the July social will bedeclared the hero of the day!

HEALTH REPORTThis week, Libby Schoemehl had her complicated necksurgery as an aftermath of her accidental fall. Although herrecovery is a very painful process, the reports are verypositive. She is still in John Muir Hospital. We all wish her afull and rapid recovery! 

EDITORIAL COMMENTSThroughout the Rotary world, July first is the beginning onew year new club presidents, new district governors, nRotary International officers, new ideas and new pathsgreater service and friendship. We extend a sincwelcome to Moragas new Club President, Roger Gregor

 At the same time we want to express a very sincmessage of appreciation to Queen Debbie Roessler, only for her past year of leadership, but for the courage a

dedication to serve a second year as club President!In addition, many members may not realize that Debbie wlining up most of our outstanding speakers and weeprograms throughout the year. Clearly, Debbie has beenexceptional Moraga club president. She deserves deepest appreciation! And Lou Roessler must have earsome kind of unique points for an award in heaven!

 As we look back over the past year, we have to salute ToSchoemehl again for his leadership of Field Day; JohnMary Sue Erickson for another fantastic Christmas Dinand exceptional work for the Nite at the Races; Frank Mfor guiding us through another very successful Nite at Races fundraiser and keeping the weekly newsletter in peach week; Barbara Bruner for supervising the Christm

stocking project again and initiating the books for Juvenile Hall Library project; Gary Irwin for excellent nestories and photos, plus club publicity activities in lonewspapers; Doug Damaschino for serving again Sergeant-at-Arms; Rich Render for setting up severawaste collection days; Herb Wehmeyer   for lining up weekly greeters and invocators; Lad Lynch for always beon tap to take our weekly money and pay our bills; RMucovich for arranging the use of Trinity Hall for so mspecial club meetings and activities; Kevin Reneau for special efforts to serve as club secretary and to keep Employee of the Month program alive and such a vworthwhile community activity; Angelo Costanza

coordinating our Camp Royal program and leading Morain the annual Bocce Ball Bash; Dianne Wilson for bringpublic recognition to our Club as being the Moraga BusinPerson of the Year; Jim & Linda Campbell for their liaiwork to Juvenile Hall and our Rotary District; Colin Barnfor his exceptional skills as MC of the Nite at the RacRoger Gregory for all of his efforts in the fast trackprepare be become club president for the new year, settup a new public address system in the club and makcontact with Clunkers for Charity; Dick Vance, Simonsen, John Erickson, and  Doug Damaschinoso many others who help to prepare the meeting room eaweek; and to all those who made generous finan

contributions at the Nite at the Races and other fundraiseand especially to those whose primary task is just being of the audience at each weekly meeting. You are very mappreciated and a vital part of Moraga Rotary!
