Moorish Proper Greetings and Manner of DressUpon entering the Temple, a sister must be properly dressed in public. Her body must be covered; once become a member she should never wear blue jeans to the temple meetings or functions. No flesh is to be shown. This means the only flesh shown is the hands and facial area. Head must be covered with a veil or turban. A sister must keep her body clean with water and her heart and mind pure with Love. Sisters do not wear makeup and jewelry may be worn in moderation.
Sisters when greeting each other may do one of three things: 1) hold their right hand up with five fingers open, palm facing toward the person 2) press the others right hand in the grip of unity displayed on the Nationality card 3) embrace each other. When greeting say in a graceful and loving manner the word, Islam, and upon departing do one of the three greetings followed by the word, Peace. Sisters when greeting brothers only place the right hand upon the heart (palm facing the chest with five fingers open) and bow head slightly with grace followed by the words, Islam, or Peace.
