Level 4To gain a level 4 you must create a Moodboard with a range of images reflecting the theme you have chosen.

You must have at least 8 images. Think about a range of:

• Patterns• Shapes• Colour ways

Level 5To gain a level 5 you must complete level 4 first and then analyse the theme you have chosen.

Think about the following words to explain why you have chosen the theme:

• Patterns – e.g. stripes, polka dots, swirls, liner lines

• Shapes – e.g. circles, triangles, geometric shapes, squares

• Colour ways – e.g. bright, pastel, natural, dark shades

Level 6To gain a level 6 you must complete level 4 and 5 first, then select six images and explain what inspiration they could give you.

Think about the following words to explain why you have chosen the theme:

• Patterns – e.g. stripes, polka dots, swirls, liner lines

• Colour ways – e.g. bright, pastel, natural, dark shades

Level 7To gain a level 7 you must complete level 4, 5 and 6 first, then for each image annotate how you could use the pattern, shape or colour on your product.

Think about the product you want to design, the following words should help you to explain how the images can be incorporated into your product:

• On the front or back of your product

• Your technique (stitching, appliques, beading etc.)

Level 4You are to draw 3 initial

designs with the inspiration of your theme.

To gain a level 4 all designs must have:

• Colour • Annotation - label

the type of fabrics, stitches and the colour of fabrics and threads.

You must also include a list of equipment needed to create your design.

1. A description of the product you made.

2. Write about the tools and equipment you used to make your product.

3. The positive aspects of you product.

4. The negative aspects of your product

5. What problems did you have with the project and how did you overcome them?

1. Write about the new skills you have learnt or developed

2. Does your target market think you have answered the design brief?

3. If you were to make your product again what would you change? Why?

1. Details of the modifications you made to your original design as you made the product and why you made those changes.

2. What quality control / assurance checks did you make throughout the making process .

3. Did your product satisfy all the aspects of the design specification?

1. Detailed analysis of your product?

2. Feedback from others (testing)

3. Drawing and explanations ( possible modelling ) showing the modifications you would make to a future design
