It is the greatest work of the Moslem architecture of the India. It was constructed between 1631 and 1654 in Agra by the Sha Jahan as posthumous offering to his favorite wife, Mumtaz Mahal, which expired when his fourteenth son was born. The building, of white marble, mixes Islamic, Persian, Indian and Turkish elements.

The Taj Mahal was constructed by an emperor of Mongul named Sahah Jahan, for his wife Mumtaz Mahal. Sahah Jahan was born in 1592, whereas his favorite wife Mumtaz Mahal was born in 1593. They married in 1612 and they had seven children. In 1628 Shah Jahan he became the emperor of Mongul. Only three years later his dear wife died soon after the childbirth. In 1632 Sahah Jahan it began the project to construct a mausoleum, or tomb for his wife, the Taj Mahal.

It is one of the most beautiful monumental works of the Earth contains the lasting love of a man for a woman, his wife. It is a perfect jewel, an exquisite building. His construction took to the man, the Moslem Mogul emperor of the dynasty, good report of his life, and the breath of a love put in every stone, in every door and in every gem of the tomb of the dear one, it affects us until today.
