For hygienic reasons, multiple users should not use the same ultrasound brush head. For differentiation, the brush heads come in different colors. The ultrasound attachments should be replaced every three months as through use, the bristles begin to soften and hence transmit less ultrasound (= less cleansing).

Emmi-dent toothpaste is available in three flavors: Nature, Mild and Fresh.

Warranty

EMAG AG offers a 1 year warranty from the date of purchase. Defects which occur during the war-ranty period, either material and/or production defects will be repaired or replaced at no charge. Insofar as legally permissible, all other claims for compensation are excluded. The warranty does not apply in the event of third party intervention or disassembly by third parties without prior written consent by EMAG AG. The warranty also does not apply in the event of arbitrary damage or incorrect handling. EMAG AG reserves the right to invoice costs incurred for unjustified complaints such as wrong installation or product misuse. When making a warranty claim, it is necessary to provide proof of purchase and the date of purchase.

Battery Care and Disposal

Your Emmi-dental waterproof hand piece contains an environmentally friendly NiMH rechargeable battery. Do not dispose this in the household garbage bin. Use dedicated recycling bins at the point of sale.

When the battery is low and the device is turned on, the LED will no longer show green. The LED starts flashing red after 5 seconds. Please charge the hand piece for 24 hours or else the battery and/or the hand piece may be damaged.

Please read these instructions and safety precautions before using your Emmi-dental.

To avoid the risk of electrocution:

1. Do not place or store the charger where it can fall or be dropped into a tub or sink of water or any other liquid.

2. Do not touch a charger that has fallen into water. Unplug it immediately.

3. Do not use the charger while bathing.

WarningTo avoid the risk of burns, electrocution, fire or injury:

1. Only use this product for its intended use as described in this manual. Do not use attachments/ brush heads not recommended by EMAG AG.

2. Keep the electric cord away from hot surfaces.

3. Avoid dropping the toothbrush or inserting an object into the hand piece.

4. Do not operate this product (charger or hand piece) if it has been either dropped or damaged, not working properly or if the toothbrush/charger has been dropped into water. In case this happens, please return the product for examination and repair to our customer service at www.emmi-dent.com

5. Should you drop the toothbrush, it is recommended to replace the brush head before the next use even if no damage is visible.

6. Do not exchange or manipulate any part of this toothbrush to avoid the risk of an electric shock. A damaged, non-functioning toothbrush should not be used. Please contact the Emmi-dent.com Customer Service Center for advice.

7. Avoid using a brush head with crushed or bent bristles as it may not clean properly. Replace the Emmi-dental brush head every 3 months or earlier even if there are no signs of wear. Inappropriate use (e.g. application of too much pressure on gums and teeth) may cause bristle wear and damage, resulting in a reduced clean.

8. Should you experience any pain or discomfort during or after use of this product, please stop using the device and contact a dentist or doctor.

Emmi-dent toothpaste is available in three flavors:

developed by German scientists using state-of-the-art scientific technology at EMAG AG, Germany. Conventional toothbrushes – manual or electric, use mechanical friction and abrasive substances in toothpastes to clean teeth. The Emmi-dental Metallic ultrasound toothbrush allows a frictionless, gentle and much more effective cleansing of teeth – without motion and without abrasive elements.Ultrasound technology has been successfully used in the field of medicine such as in brain, eye, stomach, prenatal and postnatal examinations for many decades. The use of Emmi-dental ultra-sound for dental hygiene and teeth cleaning is completely harmless to human beings of all ages, whether they are young, old or have cardiac pace-makers. There is scientific evidence that ultra-sound up to 50 watts is harmless to the human body. The Emmi-dental ultrasound toothbrush operates with a power of only 0.2 watts. The effect and safety of ultrasound waves has been researched by dentists and implantologists and the use of ultrasound in the dental industry, in-cluding crowns, inlays, implants and bridges, has not shown any negative effects. The ultrasound waves are channeled via the bristles to a special ultrasound toothpaste which is converted into millions of micro-scopic bubbles. Due to their microscopic size the micro bub-bles penetrate and clean the smallest crevices, fissures and gum pockets of contamination, plaque and food residue. Emmi-den-tal also provides optimal care and protection without any mechanical pressure, friction or stress. At the same time, the ultrasound waves have a therapeutic effect on the gums, tongue and palate. Hold the ultrasound brush head briefly under running water.

Only use the Emmi-dent ultrasound toothpaste which creates millions of non-abrasive micro-bubbles. Apply a small amount about twice the size of a pea, on the bristles.

Spread the ultrasound toothpaste with the bristles on the inside and outside of the teeth.

Then hold the bristles without pressure on the teeth. Do not “brush” ! The bristles span across 2-3 teeth. Hold the brush head for 5-10 seconds and then move to the next set of teeth. The cleaning process depends on the degree of contamination of the teeth. Finally, rinse the bristles and hand piece under running water while the device continues to run. Then switch off the device and dry the hand piece. Ultrasound sterilizes the bristles as bacteria are destroyed. Place the hand piece with the inserted ultrasound brush head on the charging station. When travelling, the device can be used without recharging for about 10 days.

If you clean your teeth twicea day, the ultrasound brush head should be replaced every three months.

Daily useIt is recommended to clean your teeth for about 3 - 6 minutes twice a day.

The Emmi-dent Ultrasound Toothpaste generates micro bubbles A special ultrasound toothpaste was developed to be used in conjunction with the Emmi-dental Metallic toothbrush to achieve superior dental care and cleaning. Conventional toothpastes do not form microbubbles. Furthermore, conventional toothpastes are abrasive and can damage the tooth enamel. The Emmi-dental brush head generates ultrasound waves that convert the special ultrasound toothpaste into billions of non-abrasive microscopic bubbles. These micro bubbles penetrate the interdental spaces, fissures and gum pockets and by imploding, remove plaque and tartar. In addition, the ultrasound destroys bacteria on the tooth surfaces and up to 12 mm below the gum line. This results in a thorough and gentle clean of the teeth and oral cavity.

Acute inflammation, periodontitis and mouth ulcers

For people experiencing periodontal disease, it is recommended to gently hold the bristles on the affected areas of the gums for 30 to 60 seconds. This helps to achieve periodontal health as evidenced by reduced gingival bleeding. Emmi-dental ultrasound is harmless and can also be used for a longer period of time.

Bad breathBad breath is mostly caused by bacteria on the tongue, gingivitis and/or periodontitis. Since Emmi-dental ultrasound destroys bacteria and penetrates deep into the gum tissues, bad breath disappears. It is effective up to 12 hours.

Thank you for purchasing an Emmi-dental Metallic ultrasound toothbrush. Please read the following instructions to achieve optimal results.

One hand piece, one ultrasound brush head attachment for adults,

one charging station and one tube of ultrasound toothpaste 75ml.

Charging and battery life

Please make sure the hand piece is switched off while it is being recharged or else recharging will not take place.

Avoid placing the device on the charging station when it is switched on.

Charge the device for 24 hours before using it for the first time. If you use

the device for 10 minutes daily, the battery will last for about 7 days. You will need to recharge the device again for 24 hours.

Using your Emmi-dental for the first time

1. Gently press the ultrasound attachment on to the hand piece. Please ensure the brush head is always placed and removed vertically without bending. This prevents damage to the contact pins of the hand piece.

2. Connect the charging station to an electric socket. Place the hand piece on the charging station and charge it for 24 hours.
