5) DEAR (DROP EVERYTHING AND READ) should be followed every week in

all English classes.

Math Workshop – Data Handling

Data handling plays an important role within mathematics education since it

encompasses real-world situations and assists in developing critical thinking skills in

learners. A workshop on data handling was conducted by the Math department as the

curriculum of CAIE deals with integration of subjects. The workshop gave a clarity to

the teachers in dealing with data handling problems. It was really a great knowledge

transfer session as the resource person Ms. Aparna gave a great insight on the topic.

Thus the month of October with eight working days was useful as the students took

part in the ‘Grand Presentation’ and the Halloween Assembly to mark the milestones

of the year. The first time online classes conducted for class 8 (CAIE) during the

extended holidays also served the students to help utilise their time fruitfully. In all, the

students benefitted with an array of activities showcased at the ‘Grand Presentation’

and other class activities.
