1. Please pray for Jim and Terry H. as they travel to Europe to reach youth for Christ with Young Life Ministries. Pray for wisdom and coordination for summer camps in June; for those traveling with them, some from GBC; for restored health for Terri and daughter, Rachel; and for adequate resources. Pray that our Lord will prepare the hearts of those who will be touched during these summer camps.

2. Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has ascended into heaven, Jesus the Son of God, pray that we hold firmly to the faith we profess. For we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathize with our weakness, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are—yet he did not sin. Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need. (Hebrews 4:14-16)

3. Pray for our Kids Ministry, led by Bobby Austin, and for Camp in the City that will be held July 4th-8th. Also, pray for 6th grade camp, which will be held June 5th-8th.

4. Bless our national and local elections. Raise up men and women who will lead us back to you. Raise up another Asa, who was fully committed to the Lord all his life. Raise up another Jehoshaphat who did what was right in the eyes of the Lord. Raise up another Josiah who renewed the covenant of his people with You — “to follow the Lord and keep His commands.” (2 Chronicles 15:1-17; 2 Chronicles 19:4-20:32)

5. O God our Father, bless us. Bless me. Make me into a vessel of honor, an instrument “… made holy, useful to our Master and prepared to do any good work.” (2Timothy 2:21 NIV)

6. Pray and ask God to watch over our police and firefighters in Nacogdoches and across Texas. Pray for peace, protection, and strength in their homes and marriages.

7. Pray that our church elders will be covered and protected by God, who will give angels charge over them to keep them wherever they go. (Psalm 91:11)

8. Pray for Mission Nac as we work throughout our city to show the love of Christ (June 8th-11th).

9. Pray for Crosspoint as it continues to meet over the summer, and for Roman Walley, our new college pastor, as he settles into his new role.

10. Pray for your family and church, that their love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight, so that they may be able to discern what is best; pray they may be pure and blameless for the day of Christ, filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ—to the glory and praise of God. (Philippians 1:9-11)

11. Pray for God to guide the work of the staff and volunteers of our local CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) as they advocate for abused and neglected children in our community. Ask that God lead them as they pursue safe and permanent homes for these children.

12. Pray for workers in Germany, Austria, and other European countries that are accepting refugees who continue to flee Middle Eastern countries with only their clothes and maybe a backpack of belongings. Many refugees are Christian women and children walking close to 200 miles in search of safety. God knows the details ... we need to remember them in prayer.

13. Pray for our Lead Pastors, Kyle Easley and Terrell Eggers, as they prepare sermons from Psalms for the summer.

14. God of grace, we ask that You fill us with Your glory. Send down Your Holy Spirit in fullness. Ignite the fire of revival in our own hearts. Protect us. Defend us. Comfort us. Empower us. Equip us as we put on the full armor of God so that we can stand against the devil’s schemes…so that when the day of evil comes, we may be able to stand our ground…taking up the Sword of the Spirit that is the Word of God…and pray. With this in mind, we remain self-controlled and alert while we keep on praying until we prevail in prayer. And we keep on watching expectantly. Is this the year of Your return? Come Lord Jesus… (Ephesians 6:10-18; 1 Peter 4:7; Revelation 22:20)

15. Pray and ask God to give the leaders of our country and state wisdom and courage to be godly righteous leaders. " ... for dominion belongs to the Lord, and he rules over the nations." (Psalm 22:28 NIV); "In the LORD’s hand the king's heart is a stream of water that he channels toward all who please him." (Proverbs 21:1 NIV)

16. We pray for the men and women who protect our nation wherever they serve. He knows their hearts. Lord, please guide them through the many challenges of each day and the trials they face. Thank you Lord, for these servicemen and women.

17. This summer two adult classes will be held on Sunday mornings at 9:15: Marriage Matters and the book of Colossians. Pray for the teachers as they prepare, and for those attending who will study God’s word together (childcare will be provided).

18. Pray for our brothers and sisters in Christ living in northern Nigeria. There is a 62% increase in the killings of Christians in that part of the world.

19. Pray for our Pre-K Ministry led by Jenny Jones, and for needed volunteers to help with the children over the summer, as many of our college volunteers are gone.

20. Pray for Christians in Central Asia. Groups affiliated with ISIS are currently threatening the lives of these believers.

21. Pray for Jeff and Greta S. as they assist refugees on the mission field. They ask for protection for new believers who convert from Islam; creative ways to reach the hearts of refugees; growth in those attending Bible studies; health for Greta, as she has been diagnosed with Meniere’s disease of the inner ear; and for Manzor, their “adopted” son from Afghanistan.

22. Pray for our Poland Mission Team that will be in Poland working with Young Life from June 22nd-July 2nd. Also pray for Joe Dodson, our Missions Pastor, as he leads the trip.

23. Pray for Cynthia Knowles, our Director of Connection, as she works to help people connect and find their place in the various ministries of GBC, and for the Connect Teams that serve on Sunday mornings. Pray that guests feel welcomed and loved as they walk through the doors of GBC.

24. Pray for Tori Garner who has been diagnosed with Thoracic Outlet Syndrome. She is on blood thinners and not able to use her upper body for eight weeks. Also lift up Lori Stroup as she struggles to regain her strength from a recent infection.

25. Pray for our Worship Pastors, Josh Taylor and John Jackson, and for our Worship Team, as they plan together and lead our Worship Services throughout the summer.
