MJLD does Mowgli On Thursday 22nd February the MJLD hosted their first ever event at Mowgli on Water Street, which was made possible by the kind sponsorship of Law Costings. The evening allowed for relaxed networking over a sit down meal from a sharing menu and drinks (including the famous Chat Bombs and Mowgli Chip Buttys!). Thank you to all of our members for attending! Please keep an eye out for our future events!

Clatterbridge Corporate Challenge The MJLD signed up to take part in this year’s Clatterbridge Corporate Challenge as well as fundraising for the charity throughout this year’s events. Representatives from the committee took part in a number of challenges including the Santa Dash and even leg waxing! To date, we remain in first place with a whopping £2049 raised! March is the final month to raise as much as possible for the Corporate Challenge and we are asking our members to get involved! We will hear from Chris Topping, managing director and partner of Broudie Jackson Canter, The Law Society's Human Rights Lawyer of the year 2016 and Vice President of Liverpool Law Society. We will introduce our report and discuss the findings in an open floor discussion and question and answer session. There will be time to network and meet new people as well as enjoy some tea and coffee or wine following the formal discussions. We encourage all junior lawyers, students and aspiring lawyers to attend and also hope we will have more senior lawyers and educators in attendance to discuss ways in which we can work together to improve social mobility in the sector.
