Preferential allotment in August 2019
On a month-on-month basis, the momentum related to raising money (in terms of number of companies) through preferential allotment marginally improved in August 2019. 11 companies raised capital through preferential allotment route in August compared to 9 companies in July. However, six companies are below market capitalisation of | 500 crore. Trent, Max Financial, Kalpataru Power & Yes Bank were the prominent companies that raised capital through preferential allotment in August 2019. For full year CY18, 223 companies had raised capital through preferential allotment compared to 243 companies in CY17 and 96 companies for YTD FY19.
