REWARD DAYToday the Sissay
children enjoyed their house reward today by
having fun with Commando Joe. Who will win the house reward next term?

We will be celebrating World Book Day at Stanley Grove next Tues 1st March. We
have been building up to World Book Day this
week by celebrating ‘Author Week’ across school. Please send your children into
school dressed as their favourite book character next
Tuesday. We are also very excited that
author Andy Cope will be coming to Stanley Grove and taking part
in our special assemblies. He will be bringing his lovely Spy
S M A r t P A L A CE HALF TERM FUN! Thank you to all those children and parents who
attended the SMArt Palace over the February half term break. Our fantastic Creative Crew and
their fabulous helpers delighted the children with an array of free fun activities.
An amazing 284 people came into school and took part in all that was on offer. The activities
enjoyed included a wiggly wave machine, balloon hover crafts and liquid and air paintings!
Much fun was had by all. Lots more photos on our twitter feed for you to enjoy.
Massive thanks once more to our fantastic staff who come in their holidays to give our children these opportunities for extra fun and learning.

READ FOR MY SCHOOL REMINDER
The Read for My School competition is still running until 15th April. The children know
about it already. They can register in school with Mr Ali, or by going online to
www.readformyschool.co.uk. It is really easy to do and you will need the school reference
which is 940151.
There are 100s of books of all different genres which children can read and add the titles to
their accounts

Next week is your opportunity to speak to your class teacher and
learn all about your child’s progress in
school. Please see your child’s class teacher to make an appointment
for the following days/times:

NEW BUILD UPDATEThere has been a lot of
progress of our new build over the break with the delivery of some very
impressive steel!
Children can register all the books they read and have the chance of winning both an individual prize and prizes for school. Take part and have fun!
