Recycled Art Contest
Get creative! Submit to Montgomery County’s 26th annual Recycled Art Contest. Use
materials destined for the recycling bin or trash to create a unique piece of art.
This contest promotes environmental awareness among K-12 students, while also encouraging
creative thinking.
Eligibility and Guidelines The contest is open to all Montgomery County students in grades K-12. Sculptures must be designed and built by students, with a focus on the use of recyclable materials. Students may have one entry in each category (Team Category, Individual Category and Jewelry Category). Students may submit artwork individually or in a team of two to four.
School Category & Divisions 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place will be awarded in each division.

Contest timeline Registration Deadline: Friday, April 3 Projects Due: Wednesday, May 6 and Thursday, May 7 Awards Ceremony: Saturday, May 9

Sculpture Guidelines
Sculptures cannot exceed 4-feet-wide, by 4-feet-long, by 4-feet-tall. Entries exceeding these limits will be disqualified
All recycled materials must be visible in order to be counted in the judging process
Use of glass is NOT permitted
