CIALLY IF SOMEONE ELSE WILL BE TURNING IT IN FOR YOU.
A separate form is required for each competitive event/activity. The originals must be turned back into the
4-H office prior to event participation. Should any special arrangements be needed, it must be communicated
and approved with the 4-H office.
We request 1 eligibility form request, whether it be from each individual family requesting their own forms

cess of preparing these forms and getting them to our members.

4 HORSE PROJECT
JUDGING Horse judging is a vital component of the complete learning experience for any student interested in
horses. Students gain many benefits from participating in such a program. It provides an excellent
opportunity for youth and college students to learn to make decisions and organize their thoughts while
evaluating the conformation and performance of horses. The presentation of oral reasons helps judgers
improve their memory skills and learn to speak effectively. In addition, if a judger does own a horse, they be-
come better exhibitors because they learn the current show standards and the criteria that actual judges use
to evaluate each class.
Practices are held at the Extension Office at 6:30pm.

Tractor Supply Paper Clover Campaign
October 4-15, 2017
Each spring and fall, Tractor Supply sells paper clovers for $1 to support 4-H.
A portion of the funds raised from this campaign directly support the county
4-H program. In fact, the county 4-H Finance Committee has created a grant
for clubs and individuals funded fully by this campaign. Contact the 4-H Office
for a copy of the application.
In Montgomery County, we have Tractor Supply stores in Conroe,
Magnolia, Porter, and Willis. History has shown that any time 4-H’ers have
a presence in the stores during the campaign, more paper clovers are
sold. We would like to make sure there is an even spread throughout the cam-
paign, rather than have all groups meet at the same store, on the same day.
If an individual, club, or project group would like to participate in the paper
clover by passing out promotional brochures, setting up a craft booth, and/or
telling customers about the 4-H program, please contact the 4-H Office, then
make plans to contact the store manager about your participation.
If you have special needs for any of the programs offered at the County or District level, please give us a least five days’ notice. We will make every reasonable effort to accommodate your needs.
