Yourinstructor will cover the basics ofinstallation, troubleshooting, andrepair of oil red heating systems.Our technical program has all newequipment to be trained on. �is course seeks to enhance thelearners understanding of basicstructure and function of thehuman body in wellness and disease.�e course will introduce the bodysystems as well as the concepts ofbasic human physiology. Coursetopics include human cellphysiology, tissue structures and review of the major body systems.�is course may be of interest to students interested in the alliedhealth professions. �is course will prepare you for the Massachusetts Construction Supervisorunrestricted license exam. A signi cant amount of time must be devoted tocomprehend the method of preparedness to familiarize yourself with the buildingcode materials. You will be able to retain the process of the system in order to nd theanswers to the test question that will be presented. A score of 70% is required tosuccessfully pass the State exam. Policies and FAQs

Refund/Withdrawal PolicyYou will receive a 100% refund if we cancel a course.

If you withdraw from a course:• Five days prior to the start date you will receive a full refund less the $10 processing fee.• Less than five days prior to the start date you will receive a 75% account credit (nontransferable

and expires 1 year from issue date)• No refund/or account credit will be issued for withdrawal on or after the first day of class.

Account credits are not transferable to other students and will expire one year from issue date.

The refund/withdrawal policy does not apply to career, certificate or license courses.

Cancellation PolicyThe School of Continuing Education reserves the right to cancel classes with insufficient enrollment and to makeinstructor changes or to change class schedules due to unforeseen circumstances. In the event of a class cancellation, SCE will make every effort to contact students via email or phone as soon as possible.

Inclement WeatherWhen day school is cancelled due to snow conditions or other weather or emergency events, evening classes are also cancelled. In the event day classes arenot cancelled and the Montachusett area expects severe weather in the evening, adecision will be made by 3:00 PM. Please listen to the local television and radiostations for current cancellation notices. In addition, our office voicemail and website will reflect SCE cancellation.

Cancelled classes are made up (same day of week and time) by extending the enddate of the course unless other arrangements are made between the instructor andthe class and approved by the director.

First Day of ClassOn the first night of class, participants should arrive five minutes prior to thescheduled start. All students should enter through the main school entrance andyou will be greeted by a SCE representative. Your instructor will meet you andbring you to your classroom.If you arrive late, please come to the School of Continuing Education office locatedoff the main lobby and we will escort you to your class.

Books and SuppliesStudents may be required to purchase a textbook (noted in the course description).The ISBN number for the text and a link to purchase the text book is also noted inthe description. If required, a cash only supply or material fee will be payable to theinstructor the first night of class. Please remember to bring any supplies listed inthe course description.

DiscountsSCE offers Veterans a 15% discount and a 10% discount for alumni and seniorcitizens. This discount does not apply to classes meeting less than 4 nights or tothose designated specifically for senior citizens. Veterans may use their GI Bill benefits to pay for several courses, such as CertifiedNurse Aide, the Electrical Journeyman Program, and the Plumbing ApprenticeshipProgram. Please call for information.

INTRODUCTION TO YOGADo you want to reduce stress, increase �exibility, buildmuscle, and be more mindful, but are afraid you needto be a pretzel with self-awareness to do yoga? �is course introduces yogato the layperson. �e instructor has designed each session for novices andwill modify forms (asana) to suit each participant’s needs, body types and,experiences. Sessions will include the form (Hatha yoga), breathing(pranayama), meditation, and deep relaxation. Students are encouragedto wear comfortable clothing and should bring a towel or mat, a waterbottle, and a sense of humor. Yee Leng started practicing yoga in 2005 and received her 200-hour yogateacher training from Frog Pond Yoga Centre in Princeton in 2011. LENGTH OF PROGRAMTen (10) months/41 sequential weeks, divided into three 10-week terms and one 11-weekterm from end of August through end of June.

PROGRAM HOURSThe Monty Tech Practical Nursing Program provides 1,210 instructional clock hours during its41 week sequential academic year. Monday through Friday (evenings) 3:30-10:00 p.m. untilclinical practice starts in Term 1, then Monday through Thursday. And every other weekend 7:00am-3:00pm.

TUITION REFUNDSIf the student is not receiving federal or state funding and withdraws from the Program, the following plan for refundof tuition will be followed: Before the first official class - 100%; After the first class, but before the 10th classmeeting - 75%; After the 10th class meeting, but before the 30th class meeting - 50%; After the 30th classmeeting - NO REFUND

ADMISSIONS EXAMArrangements to schedule the Entrance Exam at Monty Tech are made by registering online at www.atitesting.com andselecting the link “Register for TEAS” or by calling 1-800-667-7531. There is an $90 (non-refundable) exam fee to be paid atthe time of registration. No personal checks accepted.

The TEAS test was developed in 1999 to measure basic essential skills in the academic contentareas of reading, math, science, English and language usage. When creating an account on theATI website you will assign yourself a username and password. You will need to bring thisinformation with you the evening of the exam. The exam can only be taken twice to achieve apassing score in each content area. If the exam is taken outside of Monty Tech, but within thestate of Massachusetts, all four sections must be taken.
