Job Description Monsanto Canada is seeking highly motivated DEKALB Agronomy Assistant for summer 2013. The terms of these positions may vary slightly based on environmental conditions and availability of candidates. However, the terms will start in April or May and end between August and October. This is an ideal opportunity for students interested in pursuing a career in agriculture to experience working with world class researchers, agronomists and plant breeders in a leading agricultural company.

Responsibilities: • Coordinate and manage DEKALB Market Development Trials for Canola, Corn and Soybeans including seeding, data

collection, trial maintenance, and harvest • Assist with communication to DEKALB retail and grower customers • Coordinate field signing programs • Assist with retail and grower summer tours and promotional events • Other duties and projects as required

Qualifications

• Agriculture or Business Degree student, or Diploma student, or graduate • Highly motivated with the ability to work independently • Strong organization and time management skills • Strong communication skills • Willingness to accept responsibility • Good understanding of agronomic practices • Valid driver's license and a good driving record
