A$ +ac,-round6ne of the species most often !sed in research is  Drosophila

melanogaster . 7he species is commonly known as fr!it flies in e8perimental

biology library *altho!gh many types of other fr!it flies- and is the most

model organisms !sed in the st!dy of genetics, 2hysiology, and e5ol!tionary

history of life. Drosophila melanogaster  is pop!lar beca!se it is 5ery easy to

breed *it only takes two weeks to complete the entire cycle of life-, easy

maintenance, and ha5e many 5ariations of phenotype that is relati5ely easily

9r!it flies * Drosophila melanogaster - is an organism that has traits that are

already known and according to genetic in5estigation beca!se it is easy to

breed and ha5e a short life cycle. 9r!it fly is a pop!lar insect damage the

fr!its and 5egetables, this tate is 5ery detrimental to farmers large and small

as well as also ha5e small gardens at home.

9r!it flies will attack the bear fr!it and 5egetables s!ch as star fr!it,

mango, g!a5a, chili peppers or lombok, tomato, eggplant, ;ackfr!it and some

tropical fr!its we plant by means of meny!ntikan egg into the fr!it, this will

ca!se fr!its and the 5egetable is broken before it can be learned. 7he life

7he p!rpose of this lab co!rse is to make marriage monohibrid of

Drosophila melanogaster   and to obser5e the ratio of phenotypes of the

    offspring.

7he benefits of this practical work, i.e. so that st!dents can learn marriage

monohybrid of Drosophila melanogaster  and so that the st!dents can obser5e

the ratio of phenotypes of the offspring

Many of the properties owned by the li5ing beings who declined from

parent to offspring, so that the nat!re of the parents can show !p at her son or

e5en the properties appear on his grandson. 1ach species has certain

characteristics that are specific that 5irt!ally the same from generation to

generation, e5en this trait since formerly corpion. 7he characteristics or traits of

li5ing things that are passed down from generation to generation or deri5ed from

parent to his son *3anawan, "##>-.

Mendel st!died se5eral pairs of traits on peas plant. 1ach of the properties

that are st!died are: plant height, color of flowers, seeds, and others that are

dominant and recessi5e. Mendel first obser5e and analy?e the data for each of the

properties, known as the monohibrid. +n addition Mendel also obser5ed data

combination between nat!re, two properties *dihibrid-, three properties *trihibrid-

and a lot of properties *polihibrid-. 7he res!lts of his e8periments are written in

the paper entitled 18periment in 2lant @ybridi?ation *7;an,$>>4-Mendel in his e8periments sometimes can find o!t that there are genes that

are not dominant and recessi5e not anyway. +n other words the genes are not

showing the dominant properties completely. 7he res!lt of the marriage of

indi5id!als with different traits one will ha5e properties between of both its

parent. !ch properties are called +ntermediate 2roperties. 7he indi5id!al who

shows the changing nat!re of the m!tation *phenotypes- is called a m!tant. +n

st!dies of genetic m!tants can be compared to indi5id!als who did not e8perience

a change of nat!re *the wild type indi5id!als or wild type-. rosopila or fr!it flies
