Due to an unacceptably high numbers of debts that we are sending having to send to DCC Credit Control, we will be enforcing the DCC policy of “Fees are payable in advance”. Bookings need to be made by the deadline for the form please. ParentMail registers will be completed at the start of each week. The registers will be able to be amended if your child is ill, or sufficient notice has been given. Non-payment/persistent late payment will result in the debt being passed to DCC and your child(ren) no longer being allowed to use the provision.

ADVANCE NOTICE – THERE WILL BE NO TEA CLUB ON TUESDAY 21ST MAY

Collection/Drop Off – Reminder - there is no longer be a 1.15pm collection/drop off option.

Easter Bonnet Competition – Please bring in your Easter Bonnets – judging Friday 26th April.

Sports day- Our preschool sports day will be held Friday 14th of June.

Leavers’ Trip- We will be taking our leavers on a special leavers’ trip to the Milky way on Thursday 4th July. Unfortunately, this will mean normal preschool sessions will not be available on this day so alternative childcare must be arranged. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Graduation- Our preschool graduation will be held on Thursday the 18th of July in Class 2 at 2pm. This is for the leavers only, so all other children need to be collected at 12.15 on this day. Thanks in advance.

From the office: ParentMail Register – we are no longer be sending a ParentMail invoice. ParentMail registers will show you which dates you are being charged for. You will be able to part-pay in order to spread out the cost of fees, however due to unacceptably high numbers of debts that we have needed to send to DCC Credit Control, we will be enforcing the DCC policy of “Fees are payable in advance”. The sessions for each half term will be entered onto the online registers at the start of term (adjustments will be made for those children whose hourly rate changes midterm). Please don’t fall behind with payments. If fees remain outstanding at the end of each half term the debt will be sent to DCC, and your child’s sessions will be offered to someone else. Thank you for your cooperation.

You will be able to run a ParentMail report to show a breakdown of fees in case this is required for accountancy or tax credit purposes.

Have you considered becoming a school governor? School governance allows you to develop your personal and professional skills, enabling you to add the following experience to your CV:

Strategic planning

Experience on a board

Holding senior leaders to account

Finance, and maintaining oversight of potentially multi-million pound budgets

Human resources and performance management

Project management

Marketing

Communication and teamwork

Decision making

In addition, you will get to see things from the school's perspective and see how the school is managed. You will also gain an in-depth understanding of how decisions are made and the pressures on school leaders, while playing an integral part in deciding what happens.

We encourage applications from all members of society, regardless of background, gender, ethnicity, disability or age (as long as you're over 18).

Parent governors are not delegates and do not speak 'on behalf' of the parent body. The role and responsibilities of parent governors are no different from those of the other governors.

You don’t need previous experience - school governors are the largest volunteer force in education, with around 250,000 governors in the UK, and there is a lot of helpful training available.

We currently have a vacancy for a parent governor – nomination forms will be sent out in the next few days.

If you have any questions, or would like more information please contact Di Beer.
